Lambuth Inn at Lake Junaluska

Great check in and love the front desk clerk. Room was clean. Parking is less than ideal and there was loud music blaring from an adjacent property all day. Bed was comfortable but pillows were mushy. Nothing really to grip about just not my cup of tea. Have family in Canton and will stay again. Overall worth every penny and if they do some upgrading could be even better. Recommend without hesitation.

My husband I and really enjoyed our stay here. Although it is a bit outdated, the peace and quiet made up for what the room lacked in luxuries. We found a place to park along the lake to watch the sunrise the first morning. The second morning we watched the sunrise from the balcony on the second floor. There are great walking paths around the lake and beautiful gardens. Everyone is very friendly. Although the Inn does not serve breakfast, there is a crepe shop on the lake that does and another restaurant on the main road. The twin bed room we stayed in was small but very clean and had a mini fridge, microwave down the hall. Not many outlets, no desk. But there are some nice sitting areas downstairs where you can charge up and work from if needed. Getting the temp in the room just right is tricky as the windows are drafty. We never heard a peep from the rooms next door and above our first night there. The second night I awoke to a very noisy family getting settled in past 11pm. Banging on the wall, slamming doors, yelling and screaming. I called the front desk and didn't hear much out of them after that. So A+ for friendly and helpful staff. Although this Inn is a bit of a drive from Cherokee, we enjoyed the commute both days. Especially given that the leaves were near peak color. Wrapping this up, I've grown tired of over priced AirBnbs, hotel chains with rude staff, paper thin walls and flooring, and no charm. I would definitely stay here again!
