Hampton Inn & Suites Greensboro Downtown

The best Hampton Inn we’ve ever stayed on and there have been many. Everything that 3 generations of family could have wanted. The property is beautiful and clean and comfortable, staff is super helpful, proximity to good restaurants walking distance.

Just isn't the best part of town for wife and kids.

We stayed here for just one night during our spring break and were really pleased with everything. They offered ear plugs, because trains go by occasionally and can be a little loud and I thought that was a nice consideration. The pool was under maintenance, and they were very apologetic our daughter couldn't swim, but that was our only "negative" (somehow, she managed to survive not having a pool... Lol) Oh, and the breakfast was terrific! Both of our kids loved the "fancy waffles" We'll definitely stay again if we ever find ourselves in Greensboro!

Unsafe Property: Unhelpful and unaccommodating staff that did not resolve issues during our stay. My husband checked in, was given a keycard and room number and took our two young children up to the room so they could watch a movie while he went down to collect the rest of our things. While the children were alone in the room, the door to the room opened and a stranger walked in, having been given a key card to the same room moments before. When my husband found out about the intruder (who only by the grace of God was not dangerous and quickly apologize to the children as he backed out of the room), my husband sought the help of the front desk staff. They were not apologetic nor did they provide any recourse for what could have been a very dangerous encounter due to their negligence. When we contacted the property after our stay, they refused to provide any reparations. What a disappointing stay... We feel comfortable and cared for at other Hampton Inns but will NEVER stay at this location again. Take your business elsewhere.
