Hampton Inn & Suites Lake George

Booked weekend getaway with kids with a pool and hot tub, paid in advance. Showed up, checked in, then staff mentioned after the fact there was no pool, bar or hot tub as under construction. When booked was not notified of construction, not even in confirmation email. Hotel Refused to pay or negotiate refund. Had to find another hotel last minute to accommodate us and the plans.

Overall the stay was pleasant and enjoyable for me and my family, I would definitely recommend this place to others.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Nice sized room. Very comfortable and cozy. Beds were good, pillows too soft. My girls loved the complimentary hot chocolate! We went down to the lobby every night for a cup!

LIKE/UNIQUE - lovely quiet woodland location away from Route 9 noise and traffic, well maintained property and parking lot, clean and safe environment, family friendly, breakfast area is always clean and food always hot, front desk people are friendly, professional and responsive to room requests at the time of booking. Close enough for a quick run into busy Lake George without getting caught up in local traffic drama. DON'T LIKE - please install a small railing or bar/handle near the toilet. The bathroom is small and its door is relatively large and heavy with the door edge barely clearing the toilet when swung open. So, a person must do a contortion act to exit the bathroom without banging themselves or catching their foot under the door, especially for trips at night. This is not just a "senior" or "mobility" issue, kids have trouble with this too. A sturdy grab bar near the toilet would help this situation

This was thw second time my family stayed at this property. It was clean and made our stay comfortable.

Near by amenities, pharmacy and restaurants. The hotel staff was very helpful, professional and respectful. Excellent hotel if you travel with children.

Quiet location up a big hill far from Route 9 highway. Lovely woodlands surround the property. Ample parking with well-kept lot. Very dog friendly with grassy expanses or woodland spaces to walk the dog (they even provide outdoor poopie bag dispensers).Rooms were very clean with good room darkening shades, no curtains. Climate control was excellent, very quiet. Beds were comfortable. Good plumbing - no annoying pipe knockng, hot water very responsive even in early morning, good water pressure. Towels were of the thicker variety. Very convenient microfridge, microwave, small sink, kitchen counter prep area for making hot beverages, sandwiches, etc. Front desk staff friendly, helpful, glad to answer questions, no "attitude". Breakfast spread was adequate with choices, hot items were hot, not cold. Staff servicing the breakfast area worked hard to keep it clean and well-stocked. Seating area with many kinds of seating - booths, tables, bar area. Overall, this hotel is very well maintained. Clean hallway carpeting! - not a small thing in COVID time re: other hotels we've stayed in! Very welcoming lobby - Adirondack vibe with fireplace, couches, authentic guide boat, etc. Lobby and seating areas are senior friendly. A clean and safe environment for families w/children. Rooms facing the back w/2 queen beds have a very spacious "living room" where children can spread an activity blanket, etc. My complaint: NO grab bar next to toilet in an otherwise small bathroom.

My husband and our three kids had a great stay at the Hampton Inn! Our room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit! And we enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit out back!
