Best Western Plus Franklin Square Inn Troy/Albany

We stayed for 5 nights.My daughter and her family spent 2. For all that money we spent, I felt like it wasnt worth it.No extra "hey good morning again, how can I make your day type of thing. The worst though was that the dining was so incredibly limited. and not really any suggestions

My kids and I needed a place to stay in the area and this hotel was perfect. Checkin was fast and easy. We walked to a restaurant right next door. My kids loved the breakfast spread also.

My husband and I came this way to Troy to visit family in Albany as we had two bad experiences with Albany hotels in the past. The property looks clean. Check in was easy. You get breakfast which is the standard, many choices. Rooms were clean and had a fridge plus a hair dryer. Bathroom very clean including floor, water pressure great. Dogs are allowed! There is a laundry in this hotel very reasonable price, came in handy as our flight was cancelled and we had to stay longer before we could get out. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We had to extend our stay and they were able to accommodate! There was even a power outage for an hour (city outage) and the staff fortunately had breakfast ready to go. They placed lanterns in the breakfast area for people to serve themselves. In the summer you can see the Saturday farmers market from this hotel. Beer garden across the street and a BBQ place. Walking distance you have every kind of cuisine you could want, Moroccan, Venezuelan, Indian, Chinese! Will use this hotel for future visits! Thanks for a great stay!

We came into town and we’re going to a family event and needed to change. We asked for an early check in of two hours and they said it would be 65 dollars. In all my life staying in hotels I have NEVER heard of such a thing. We are extremely disappointed in you company. Of it is at all possible we will not ever stay at one of your hotels

Generally Good but Large wedding groups take over the place. they are sometines noisy (had to change my room due to screaming kids) Also breakfast scedule is confusing, between weekdays and weekends. One front desk person (young thin white guy with curly brown hiar) was pretty rude in dealing with another customer, who wanted to take a piece of fruit with his coffee-the only thing avaiable after 9.30 on Monday Jan 16. It also begs the question-why dont you have weekend breakfast hours on Mondays, which are also a holiday?

The Riverfront area in Troy is totally revitalized! This property sits there overlooking the Hudson and Starbuck Island. With DInasor BBQ right across the street and in a walkable, hitoric area of the city, this is perfect for solo travelers as well as families. Nice fitness center available, too.
