1. There’s no spying lens in the door, which is unsafe should someone knock on the door. 2. The door latches open upon single push down. If a toddler wakes up and attempts to walk out is easy. 3. No drawers 4. Unfinished construction 5. Bed is over the window sills. Dan

It was convenient for the trip. But lacking iron and ironing board. Room was a bit small for a family of 4. But overall not bad the breakfast was ok. Quick and simple continental style needed more options for kids in regard too cereals.

The place is super clean, staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Convenient location. Continental breakfast is one of the best out of many. Will refer to family/friends and use again the next time I travel.

I just stayed one night before traveling via JFK next morning. The room had enough space for a family, and was clean and neat. Front desk was friendly, and I liked that it seemed that staff was on duty at the desk overnight. Three or four blocks away from Flashing Main St Station, surrounding area is not so populated as the most populated area of Flashing, and I don’t recommend to go outside after dark without exercising normal caution. Yet, it is still walking distance from 7 line, LIAA, and bus stations.

The John Hotel is a very excellent option for a well priced, clean and comfortable hotel stay in Flushing! Very family friendly and right next to the heart of Flushing dining and activities while being easy walking distance to the subway or train! The complimentary breakfast is a charming experience to top off a restful and comfortable room!

We were at first pretty happy with our room as it was spacious and looked clean, and at a convenient location. But the nightmare began after we went to bed. First the TV flashed on to a news broadcast channel, then after a few seconds flashed off. It was so scary as we never even touched the TV or remote control. Were the facilities controllable from outside the room? Were we watched by someone? On top of all these scary thoughts, there was such a persistent, loud and somewhat weird noise from someone taking a shower? that kept my toddler fussy all night. Terrible night and will never return.

We were pleased with the hotel. It was a family run hotel, with reasonable rates, near the airport (our flight was canceled), and near many Chinese restaurants in the Flushing Chinese neighborhood. The only down side was the noise from the airport, but it was great for one night.

The John Hotel is a great to place to stay while in Flushing Queens. Close to late night restaurants and public transportation. Our room was quiet, very spacious and clean. The staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was ok. My family and I stayed for 2 nights. We were comfortable and the price for one night was reasonable. We will definitely stay at the John Hotel again.
