My kid is a student at nearby Alfred University. I hear many complaints about this property but stayed there for two nights during a recent visit (from Chicago). This is a fine place to stay. Clean rooms, comfy beds, decent free breakfast, safe surroundings with a Dunkin Donuts next door, and one of those amazing, large rainfall type shower head with great water pressure. Not many places to stay in this remote part of the country, but I don’t think you can go wrong staying here. Honestly, I’m not sure why people criticize this place like they do! It’s a little unpolished here and there but c’mon, it’s Wellsville, NY, not Manhattan. ;)

The hotel was clean, the bed comfortable, the location convenient to our family reunion. We stayed 7 nights. They had a sign that said they would provide clean towels every 2-3 days, but we had the same towels all 7 days. That was not a big problem since the towels dried. Perhaps they should take the sign down. Breakfast was fine with some choices. I was surprised that they had five kinds of bagels, but no cream cheese even after we asked about it. Also, we had to have our key cards reprogrammed twice and replaced the second time when they stopped working. But overall it was a comfortable, safe place to stay.

Very friendly and helpful front-desk help, quick check-in and check-out. Room was large and clean with comfortable beds. Location of hotel is close to family that we visited. All in all a pleasant experience!
