Holiday Inn Express Hotel of Neptune, an IHG Hotel

Staff went out of their way to wake us up by 9 am. They knocked on the door and tried to enter the room. There were workers hammerimg, a vacuum running in the hall, loud walky talkies and a lawnmower that woke up my family on our summer vacation

I was in the area for a family party. I had stayed there 11 years ago and this place has been renovated since then. I was happy with the room I was in. It was clean and pretty quiet considering it faced Rt 66. I would stay there again

We traveled with 11 families as part of our softball team. We had no location for the kids to eat after dinner or to hang out due to 9pm Quiet hours. We ended up in the parking lot and the kids in a room. Around 10pm security was called and the kids could no longer be together. When asked for the conference room on a floor with no customer rooms we were denied. Not a location recommended if traveling with a group.

The website did not indicate this property is under heavy construction. When walking in there guest check in being done on a folding table in the corner , paper runners on floors and everything is tarped off in construction plastic. Although this is not staffs fault and they were pleasant . Our room had gum wrappers on floor, hair on towels broken toilet seat and bathroom door did not close or lock. Due to construction there is very minimal parking so they had everyone packed in blocking each other and they would contact you if you need to move your vehicle. Non handicap parked in handicapped , people parked on grass and every spot they could fit a car. We arrived early in the day and they did find us a spot. The staff did their best to try to make a spot for each guest directing cars and remained calm. We had to walk to all stores because we couldn’t get our truck out and knew if we did there would be no were to park upon returning. Lots of partying and loud music, very young shore crowd. This is not a hotel to go to for a family vacation but a 1 night stay to crash for the night on your journey. Beds are extremely firm and not comfortable for our liking but beds are one’s preference. Pilllws were comfortable. There is a Wawa directly next door in walking distance and Walmart is 19 minute walk. Took 20 - 25 minutes to point pleasant nj. Overall we will choose another hotel for next fishing trip.

My family and I made this trip for my son who was in a basketball tournament. I called last week to get an early check in and was told no problem just call the morning of arrival, so I did and was told they could not do so. I told Brenton about my son needing to be at his tournament by 3:30 so we needed to be in the room by 2 the latest. He said to ask for him when checking in and he would assist us between 1:30 & 2. When I showed up he said he could not help and come back at 3. I spoke with a woman sitting next to him and she said the same thing. We had purchased lunch to eat in our room so I asked if we could sit in the dining room and eat and was told there is no dining room they were renovating, so I asked about the breakfast that was included and was told it was in a small room next to them and was only grab & go. No eggs, pancakes or anything promised just cold food to take with you. There was no mention of renovations when I booked this and we were promised a full breakfast, that was a main reason for picking this hotel. We ate in the car and I stood in the lobby until 2:30 when I was finally given a room. The room was missing some towels and the toilet seat would not stay up. My son and I went to the lobby because the wi-fi wasn't working, the woman took my phone and said it was my i phone and ran to the ladies room. The room was nice, but the overall experience was below par. I was a sale manager for over 30 years, what ever happened to going above and beyond.

Front desk staff is very friendly. The rooms are beautiful. But I was sent an email after booking that some of the amenities were not available such as the pool and free breakfast would be handed out in togo bags. Thats unacceptable! I would have cancelled and chosen another hotel but other family members had already booked their stay here as well. Also the hotel sits right on a main road, which at first may seem convenient but not so much. Every morning we woke up early the sounds of trucks and cars blowing horns and hitting holes. So much for sleeping in late on your vacation.

The room my family and i stayed in was great. Very nice, Spacious and clean. Hotel is Close to food and shopping. My problem comes from the pool. It was very dirty and grainy. My son got a red burning rash from it twice. I brought it to the attention of the front desk person at the time. He was very unconcerned or sympathetic, supposedly called his manager with my situation and all i was told is that a third party comes to clean the pool and test the water and it’s fine. Tell that to my son who is writhing in burning pain because of the rash he got in the pool and had to get out on both occasions he was in it. Hotel is also under renovation lots of noise in check in area and no longer offer hot breakfast buffet. Only grab and go from a closet. This was my second time at this hotel. First experience was great, unfortunately this one not so much.

I wouldn’t stay here again. Rooms were kinda old. We were placed in the first room right next to front desk lobby, a group was staying at the hotel. The parents were watching their kids “ding dong ditch” my room door. I had to open it twice and yell. Then walk the 20 ft or so to the front desk to tell them to handle it. They saw what was going on while it was happening and did nothing. I would never stay here again.

I stayed at this property with my toddler recently and had a terrible check in experience. I checked in with no problem, went to the room and started getting unpacked, when all of a sudden a man who’d checked in just after me used a key card and entered my room. Both obviously confused and realizing a mistake had been made, I called the desk and was rudely told I was supposed to be in a different room. I told the gentleman at the front desk that my envelope had the number of the room I was currently in (plus the key had worked, so obviously I was in the room I’d been assigned). He told me I had to come down to get my new key. I explained that I’d already used the bathroom including soap and a towel and started unpacking, but he insisted I come down to get a new key. So I hauled my 8 month pregnant self and all of my luggage down to the lobby to get my new key. I was offered no apology or explanation. Additionally, the wifi didn’t work and when I called to ask he basically just told me to try again. All in all, the property itself seemed clean and well maintained, but the customer service was some of the worst I’ve encountered.

Didn’t realize it was card only. But they were patient and waited for me to arrange my payment through my card and let me use my cousins card. Very accommodating to giving us extra towels and blankets with my little ones.
