Hampton Inn Tropicana, NV

If you are traveling to Vegas with a family, this is a great stay. The complimentary breakfast is incredible and has something for everyone. We are a celiac family and they even had gluten free bagels for us! The facility has a gym, laundry area, the lobby is spacious and was kept clean, the mini convenience store located in the lobby had everything in stock that we forgot to bring (and their prices were so reasonable!) and all of the employees were so kind. The pool area was well kept and stocked with fresh towels throughout the day. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave which was great. If you are in town for a sports tournament and have to stay for multiple days in Vegas, this hotel is an excellent choice.

They charge $15 a day for parking a car in their parking lot. The outside area had drug users and sketchy people walking around the parking lot. I wouldn't let my kid go out to the parking lot unsupervised. Questionable stains in the furniture, noisy AC unit, tub was not well-maintained, and the light in the bathroom was unnecessarily bright. I did like that the pet area had shade in it. When the personnel was informed of the drug user they immediately took action in escorting the person out the premises. Renovations were taking place in other rooms so hopefully the rooms will get better with time.

Very quiet and family friendly

Sound insulation is very bad, at 2:00am, next room having a couple, there sound is soooooooooo loud that my whole family could hear. Waking us all up

Good for families

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Tropicana. We were in town for the International Builders Show. We read the reviews of this Hampton and the reviews had one thing in common- MARJORIE the hostess at the Morning Breakfast Bar. The first day we had breakfast, a friendly lady came up to us and asked how was our breakfast? I said you must be Marjorie. She was a delight!. The Breakfast was really good and had many options. The next day we were down before breakfast began and had a lovely conversation about family, prayer and Jesus. All the while she made sure we had everything we needed LOL. The hotel was clean, and the beds were comfortable but Marjorie and the staff calling to make sure we had whatever we needed was the best. If you are looking for a hotel off the strip but relatively close to the Convention Center for a good price. This was a good option. We did have a car to get around so that helped. Walking to the strip to get to the monorail was a little too far away.

Great staff, good breakfast that was always replenished even though a huge influx of people kept coming Sofa bed has a very thin mattress and only works for light weight kid, so keep that in mind if you are reserving the family room

Overall descent. The road construction was only annoying part. But that won't be there forever. It was nice to visit Vegas and do it family style with kids.
