My Place Hotel - Carson City NV

We checked in at the hotel and our daughter got sick overnight with severe vomiting. We had to go down to the lobby to get replacement bedsheets since they refused to deliver to the room. However, even when we went down, they didn't replace the comforters saying they didn't have access to them and we had to be cold the entire night. The vomiting repeated several times overnight and they refused to give us linen unless the old ones were returned, resulting in my husband making several trips all the way down to the lobby given how much she was sick. We went to urgent care and checked out the next morning forfeting our next night's reservation due to the poor experience. The winding drive back didn't help our child any but we didn't want to spend another night like this. They also refused to clean our room! The staff kept stating "policy" and I complained to the hotel manager after we got home, but he stated "policy" again. Policy should be revisited in exceptional cases like this to keep the guests comfortable, especially when they are having a hard time already. It also doesn't help to label yourself "family friendly" and not do anything to back it up. Final note - they have a kitchen and stove, but no pots and pans!! They sell those in the lobby for a charge. I thought that was a cheap trick too.

During our stay. other guests staying constantly smoked weed which made the whole place smell. Noise from other rooms and the stairwell was awful so we didn't sleep much at all. Fridge in the kitchenette is too noisy at night too. Its a pet friendly hotel , but not friendly if you are in a room below someone who has their dogs with them, as the noise is just ridiculous. Complaints were made to staff but nothing was done about any of it. There were a couple of reception staff who were friendly & helpfull. Not a family place to stay, only for deep sleepers and a quick stop over if you must. Generally clean & tidy place with no management to speak to.

We stayed at the My Place in Carson City Nevada for one night with our kid and 2 pets, and they did not disappoint. It was clean, tidy, neat. A quick friendly check-in and we were all set to go to our room! We were on the first floor and had view of our vehicle. Everything worked in the room from the TV, microwave, fridge, coffee maker (free coffee!), kitchen sink, bathroom stuff etc. Just a heads up it's $15 per pet and is located next to train tracks - which worked for us and our very enthusiastic train-loving kid. Overall review: Decided to try this new hotel out in Carson while visiting family durning Labor Day weekend. Price was ridiculously high for what you get. Dog pee on the corners of every corner of the lobby, no dog accommodation no pee/ rest areas near by and no doggy bags or anything pet friendly related. We checked in on Thursday before the holiday and was given the second floor room, walls are paper thin. You can hear every single movement outside your door. Rooms were very basic; loved the full kitchen even tho this wasn't used during our stay. Lamp charging station did not work but we made due and didn't complain about something small like the charging station. Safety: they have a variety of people who stay at this hotel for long stays. They leave the side access door wide open which leads to the stairway. Stair way smells like pure cigarettes and weed. Anyone can enter through there and to any level floor without a key card and bypassing all hotel staff Staff issue: Our last night at the hotel before our long 8-9 hour drive home we were woken up from our sleep at 2am due to someone on our floor banging on doors and shouting and blasting their phone speaker. We were hoping this would only last a few mins however the noise and shouting was getting louder and due to the paper thin walls it started echoing in our room. Was there with family renting 4 rooms. They’re supposed to clean on fourth day but did not clean our rooms at all during our 7 day stay as they claimed they were short staffed. One family was checked into a room that hadn’t been cleaned so they had to go back to front desk to request a different room. One room did not have a shower curtain, towels and sheets, although clean, had stains on them, had to request toilet paper which staff had to "borrow" from a vacant room as they were out of it, as well as paper towels and shampoo. Staff was less than pleasant to work with. Overall very disappointed with our stay.
