Holiday Inn Express & Suites Carson City, an IHG Hotel

We booked two king suites for 2 nights which was over $1000 total. When we got there, we noticed we had no bedding in either room for our sofa beds our kids would be using. When we went to the front desk to get bedding, we were told they had no fitted sheets or comforters. So, we had to use a flat sheet with a few thin blankets. However, the one sofa bed in my parent’s suite was covered in plastic. We left it on the first night but without a fitted sheet, the flat sheet slipped all over and wouldn’t stay on the mattress. My daughter laid on the sticky plastic half the night which was very uncomfortable and gross. The second night, we decided to rip off the plastic. As soon as we removed the plastic, the entire suite filled with a strong nasty smell of fish/urine. It was clear that this mattress at one point had been soaked in urine, so they wrapped it in plastic to cover the smell instead of buying a new one. When I called the front desk, they said there are no replacement mattresses, no rollaway beds to use instead and they wouldn’t give us a different room. Our couch cushions were also ripped and dirty. They had no clean bath towels the second day-front desk said we had to wait for the cleaning ladies to come the next morning to give us towels. They never came to clean our room and the pool was dirty and falling apart. Staff was unprofessional, the whole place looked dirty and the breakfast was bad. Some of the guests that were stay there kids where running around the hotel halls late at night waking people up and the same group of kids run people out of the pool area. They were super noisy even at breakfast time and were run all over the hotel and running into people. No one was doing anything about it. The front desk person did tell some of them to stop running in the lobby but only once and they just keep running everywhere. It made our stay not so great. We were woke up at 11pm from the noise in the hallway and then the noise started back up around 7am.

Lots of kids running the halls early morning, cleanliness overall was average, and cleanliness of breakfast area was poor.

The pool for kids

We rented a suite for a family of six. The sheets on the pull out bed had not been changed and were clearly dirty from the last use. We had to go and ask for sheets and covers. The next day house keeping didn't even remove the trash from our room. There were only enough towels for two even though it's a reservation for 6 Finally the bathroom is showing it's age with stains and worn material.

We travelled with our pet and the hotel was perfect for that. Clean spacious room,good breakfast, friendly staff. The pooch and her family had fun.

I stayed to visit family it was a very wonderful experience and we enjoyed our stay.

The property was nice. The room was decently clean but not amazing. One thing I loved about the room was how much light I was available. We were traveling with three kids under 5 and to light it all up and let them play was great! However, big downside they clearly don’t maintain their items well because the tv was an essential for three kids In a hotel room and the tv didn’t work properly remote didn’t work would tune channels but not volume. They tried to replace it but new remote was defective as well. And the tv channel button didn’t work. Overall pretty normal stay but for 200 a night it was definitely it rly a disappointment.

Was on bottom floor due to our dog. Had stayed there 3 nights before. Was wonderful. However last 6 night stay changed rooms 3 times due to excessive noise of multiple families above us letting there children run amuck like a herd of cattle. Front desk seemed to not care about this and did very little to solve this problem. We were not the only room to complain.
