Hampton Inn Sidney NE

Second stay at this hotel with my family and my dog. Wasn't bad service is great clean room Period no complaints here

I don’t know if it was because we had our dog with us but our room’s bathroom was in quite a state of disrepair. Wallpaper cut and hanging off, the back of the bathroom door was ruined with water, areas of the trim were missing or broken. We paid a deposit for our dog just like everyone else so I don’t know why this would have put us in a less nice room. I brought a picture to the front desk of the wallpaper to be sure we weren’t charged for it and she flatly said they knew about it. Not super friendly or helpful. I was also surprised there was no bottle filling water fountain, as you find these in almost all buildings now. The tap water tasted fine but filling from a water fountain or the bathroom faucet wasn’t my favorite. The hot tub was a lukewarm bath at best and had sand all at the bottom. On the bright side the woman holding down the breakfast fort was a delight. She was so kind to my kids, pleasant, accommodating, and went out of her way to make sure breakfast was wonderful for my kids when the waffle iron really wasn’t working well. Overall I feel like this hotel is due for some upgrades to bring it to the same level as other Hampton Inns where we have stayed and to warrant the price.

Found out after it already booked that there wasn't ANy rooms that weren't dog rooms. Even though I am allergic we went to check the room in hopes it would be decent but the hall had the smell of a dairy barn that I remember from my childhood. The elevator carpet was the worst I have ever seen. The room was small and felt dingy.. The bathroom need repairs. Just seemed shabby. I'm assuming the good ratings from this hotel are from dog owners and they are happy with the dog biscuits on the counter. Not all pet owners are amazing and deworm, detick, descabie, deflea their pets and get their shots . We left the room even though we had to pay for it anyway and went across the road to another motel. They only allowed dogs in a section not the whole motel. I didn't want to spend the night in a kennel. If you have dogs this is the place for you although I've never understood why responsible pet owner would expose their dog to so many things that are bad for their health.They are less stressed at home with a sitter.

The floor of the entryway and bathroom were sticky. Carpets look filthy. Stains on the walls. We choose this hotel because of the pool then it was closed. Should have disclosed on website pool was out of service. My kids were extremely disappointed.

The room was really big. We got all 5 of us with the pull out sofa and 2 queen beds. The breakfast was the best I’ve had from a hotel. Sadly the pool had no clean towels and dirty towels all over. The hot tub wasn’t filled up and my kids were sad about that. Luckily the pool water was warm enough to get in and swim for all of us. Thanks for the stay and have big rooms to fit our family of 5!

Great property. Whether we’re traveling back home or to visit family , we always like staying in Sidney.

It is a well maintained hotel, very quiet. The pool is crowded with many kids. It cost moe thantwnty dollars to have a refrigrator put in your room.

Easy access to hwy. clean spacious room. Only complaint would be excessive chlorine in pool. Could hardly stay and watch the kids swim it was so strong.
