Best Western Nebraska City Inn

Young man at check in didnt know what he was doing and couldn't find my booking. He disnt care and wasnt going to help either. I had to call hotels.com to figure it out. After almost an hour, they got me into a room. He said he couldn't call a manager because it was new years eve, but when i went back out, he had called one. She was nice and helpful. Double beds were small but comfy. Bathroom wasnt very clean and the floor was super slippery. Luckily they had a rubber mat to put down. They had spray painted over the heat bulb in the bathroom so we couldn't use that. Some of the drywall was starting to peel. It just mainly needs a refresh. The hot tub wasnt hot and was filled with yelling kids. We were hoping to go in after they were gone but the desk person let them stay in well after it closed at 11pm. It wasnt a great way to bring in the new year. lots of yelling and running up and down the hallways late at night too.

Our stay was good. The kids enjoyed the pool.

Apparently there was a birthday party for people and children that were not guests. Maybe 30 or so. We wanted a quiet stay but instead there was a childrens party. We spoke to the front desk amd asked our money to be returned.front desk staff apologized and said they would stop the party. Obviously i didnt want a childs party to be ruined. The front staff said we maybe would be refunded depending on the manager. We waited in our room the hour orbso until the party vacated the swimming area. 7pm to 8 15 pm

I loved the hotel and plan on staying again. The reason why amenities didn't get a higher rating was because of the breakfast. I was told since it was a holiday there were no donuts or milk. The holiday didn't just pop up out of nowhere. They should have planned ahead. There's literally a gas station right next door where they could have gotten a gallon of milk to go with the cereal they offered up. It was disappointing to the kids because they don't like the hot options. There also wasn't any fruit or yogurt and I assume that was because of the holiday as well?? I was surprised how good the omelet thing was though.

Friendly staff awesome place to bring a family nice clean .Clean swimming pool I will definitely tell friends about it and I would come back and stay anytime.

Booked because it was the only hotel in town still available with a pool. The indoor pool was too cold so we only stayed in for about 5 minutes. Other families did the exact same thing. Our room also had a faint smell of smoke.
