Courtyard by Marriott Omaha La Vista

Hotel staff was nice and friendly...However, our room was never cleaned after repeatedly asking them to do so. We had a 3 night stay with two adults and two kids. Sink had a slow drain and overall cleanliness of our comforter and sheets was just not what you would expect from a Marriott chain brand hotel.

Great area with a lot of options to dine or shop in walking distance. Looked like it is a popular spot for families who are attending youth sport tournaments.

Clean facility, but two gripes: 1) Paying to park must be a new thing with Marriott because this is the first time I've encountered it. Ridiculous. Had it been parking under cover in a large city with limited parking opportunities, I could understand it. But this is a wide-open, exposed lot with plenty of spaces to park. Customer gouging. 2) It's high time Marriott upgraded the toilets in at all of its properties. We stayed in four over the past week and every one had short toilets well suited for children but not for adults (especially those of us who are seniors). Please replace these shorties with a more comfortable height toilet (17-19 inches).

I slept like a baby… Super comfortable rooms and bedding it was a beautiful hotel and nice people park there… I loved my stay there for three days.

We were very appreciative to be able to book a room. We were displaced from our home after a hurricane force storm took out our powerlines and damaged our property. We were hoping local hotels would offer a better price deal for our city that was crippled by the storm and declared a natural disaster area but nothing was offered. A free continental breakfast is almost an absolute must especially for the price we paid. That was extremely disappointing as well but we were desperate for a room since we had no power for a few days and have 2 people in my family with heart conditions including myself and my teenage daughter. We were really hoping for better accommodations during a crisis. We did appreciate the pool even if there were unattended children there and the free bottle of water upon arriving for check-in but charging $5 for a bottle of water in the room is absolutely absurd. Ive also never been asked to swipe a major credit card "for any accrued damages" after I had already paid for the room online. That put a sour taste in my mouth from the get go. It was a nice room but dor the price and during a crisis was expecting way more.

We selected this hotel because of location and price. It was very easy to get off of I-80 and get to it, but the ramp to get back ON to I-80 was not open. (Luckily I knew my way around and knew how to get to another ramp). That problem will be fixed before our next visit I'm sure. Lobby was beautiful, and room was nice. One suggestion---put another mirror somewhere OUTSIDE of the bathroom. As a family of 4, it was hard for us to all get ready when the only mirror was in the bathroom (getting steamed up by the shower and not available when someone else was using the facilities!) Other than that, we plan to return next time we are in the area!
