Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Sidney, an IHG Hotel

Easy to find, close to shopping area, easy check in and check out. Only downfall was pool was closed for maintenance and we had booked this particular hotel so could bring our kid swimming but otherwise we had a comfortable stay.

Great stopping place for the night. Grandkids loved the pool. Staff was very nice and attentive.

The motel was clean and nice, but I had to keep going to the front desk to get my card key rekeyed. Also, when I went to the front desk to have my card key rekeyed, the desk clerk was on the phone for approximately 10 minutes. I had to interrupt her phone call after standing there for so long and asked her to rekey my room key. Other than those issues the room was nice and clean and the motel was nice and clean. The kids loved the pool and had a great time.

Everything about our stay was great except the bed was extremely hard and lumpy! Also if there is going to be a group of kids staying .. NOTE .. DO NOT PUT THEM ABOVE ANYONE thy need to be roomed on the first floor because they ran the halls all night long!! I understand parents need to be responsible for their kids but they were sitting down where breakfast is served drinking!

We reserved a queen suite with sofa bed for 2 adults 3 children and had a dog with us. Check in was easy, but when we got to the room there was no heat. Sixty five degrees in there. We went to the front desk and she knew there was issues with room, and offered us space heaters. We told her no because we had kids and a dog and that didn't seem safe. We asked for the manager because she told us there was no other rooms, and the manager refused to come talk with us. So, the front desk clerk said she would just put us in a non pet room anyways, and this room had only 2 beds, so all three kids had to sleep together. Then, they dont turn the heat on to the pool until 6 pm, so the kids couldn't swim. Ice cold water and there was a space heater in the pool area! Kids throwing basketballs around, totally dangerous. Then, the hot tub had grout coming out of the tiles that felt like pieces of glass. We left after 5 minutes. TV didn't work. Had to have front desk come fix it. Then, once you shut the tv off it didnt work again. We've stayed here before, but the place has gone down hill. Terrible little bday trip for me with my family to relax.

Loved the location but I was one of 3 rooms with family and all but me had problems with the ac/heat. When my daughter arrived and got their room it smelled of smoke. Manager got them a new room. The morning breakfast gal was beyond great and had great breakfast available. Made our mornings!! Please pass along!!!

My biggest issue was that we were not informed that the pool was closed at any time prior to or during check in and given an opportunity to back out. My family had changed into swimsuits and gone to the pool only to find a note on the door. Then we discovered that our shower didn't work and had to switch rooms after 10pm. There was no offer of a discount.

Place was nice. I liked the kiddie pool. Front Desk person was friendly but often had to wait a long time for someone at the front desk.
