Hampton Inn St. Louis/Chesterfield

Max was the concierge at the hotel when we stayed. My husband called for a late checkout because we were taking our son to a doctors appointment a few hours from home and I knew we wouldn’t be able to get out as early as needed. Max was so helpful and accommodating, he also checked us in and made sure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable and double checked that our room choice was what we wanted for the night since we had our young baby with us. Couldn’t recommend enough and we are so appreciative for Max and his kindness!

Youth baseball tournament participants were running wild through the halls up to and beyond 10 pm. Feel like there should have been a warning at check in. Pool had unsupervised kids which kept me from being able to enjoy some peace and unwind after a 13 hr drive. In spite of the chaos, the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient in addressing my concerns. The breakfast staff were phenomenal- very cheerful and energetic in keeping things stocked and managing the flow of lots of unsupervised kids making messes. Anyway to address guests who do not supervise their kids?

It was for a family members surgery. Hotel was near the surgery center in Chesterfield, MO.

Good area (for family stay) . And great stuff

Location is nice, far away from the highway with minimal noise. It is close to my family I was visiting. Breakfast could be better. Add boiled eggs, biscuits were rock hard and so dense. Grits were too runny. Don't understand the pancake mix in the mini fridge with foil on top. I thought it was individual yogurt but was waffle mix. Oranges set out were too wrinkled and old to even try. I would have liked a bath and shower combo, but guess I picked the shower only one. Slept okay. pillows could be marked firm or soft, or maybe they were the same. Hot water in canister and decaf coffee were not hot when I used them.

First impressions: front desk staff were friendly and beds were comfortable, always a plus.The hotel was relatively quiet and decently located (near shopping, restaurants, etc.) Free breakfast was included and my kids were specifically looking forward to going downstairs for waffles in the mornings. On the first morning, after waffles were made, we could not find any syrup so we asked about it only to be told that "the truck never made in with the shipment and so that's the deal." Not a warm and fuzzy dining staff. My immediate thought was that since the staff knew the delivery fell short, there were two grocery stores within a one mile drive so this problem should have been easily fixed. Another negative thing was that the eggs were definitely made from powder-very odd! Even though the rest of the food was ok, the next morning we left the hotel to go out for breakfast. The only other truly negative thing was that the bathroom floor flooded while taking a shower. Clothes had been set on the floor near the door, as far away from the shower as possible so as not to possibly get damp. BUT once the shower curtain was pulled aside, the whole floor was found flooded due to the curtain not staying put while the water was on. The clothes that needed to be worn for a wedding were drenched completely through. Not terribly smart on our part, but also very bad curtain strength on the hotel's part.

Staff was super friendly. General maintenance needs improvement. First room we checked into had a commode with continual running water. Second room the bathroom night light bulb was burned out. Both rooms and our family member’s rooms musty and the rooms felt damp. Suspect the air conditioners were not working at 100%.
