Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Tupelo, an IHG Hotel

It was fine. Bacon was good at breakfast. Kids were not happy to eat dry cereal (we couldn’t find any milk anywhere). One kid seriously loved the sheets!

Definitely not as clean as the reviews state. Our floor tile was filthy. Bathrooms could have definitely been cleaner and the breakfast that everyone raved about was nothing to rave about. Out of coffee, out of forks, waffle machine wasn’t working, no cream cheese for the bagels. The omelets were good and family said the biscuits and gravy were good. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Holiday Inn Express is always a win for our family. It isn’t the fanciest, but it’s nice, consistent, and has a great breakfast.

We enjoyed our visit but were disappointed in the free breakfast. On a previous stay there, they served scrambled eggs and bacon, along with other things. This time they served pre-made sausage & biscuits. We suspect it may have been due to the swim team (30 kids) who were staying there.

Not a single issue with the exception of all the kids running back and forth all night. A huge distraction for anyone trying to get rest. It was great stay except for that.

So I've stayed at other IHG Holiday Inn Expresses before but this location has to be the absolute worst. I think we should have expected it the minute we arrived and the receptionist told us our room was dirty? I was like okay? He said he had to find us another room? I mean I didn't know my room booked through Hotels.com was special or that it wasn't ready, just give me a room that's ready. Well, rooms are standard fare but this location the walls and doors are paper thin because we could absolutely hear above us and next to us conversations. To top it off, our AC was broken and when I spoke to the night receptionist he could've cared less and said I control it from the wall, which i repeated I did and understand how thermostats work, but he just repeated its controlled from the wall thermostat. Absolutely horrible stay for me and my family.

The hotel was overall great! From the booking experience all the way to the check out process! The only issue we had is we came in with a kids soccer team, and several other families stayed at the your hotel too, a couple of other families got to check in early but when we tried we were told we couldn’t with no explanation. We thought that was off. Other than that we didn’t really have issues. Breakfast was nice. The night shift lady even let our girls play in the lobby while we waited for their uniforms to finish washing and drying. Our room was very nice and comfortable. Everything was stocked and clean! Had we got to check in early like the other family did, this would’ve been a 5 star experience for us! But four stars will do for sure! We recommend this hotel and if we come back to Tupelo we will most likely stay here again.

We were in town for our son's wedding and I reserved 8 rooms then had to cancel 2of them. They were great very helpful. My only complaint is that several ball teams were staying there as well and they were loud well past midnight but that's a parenting issue the hotel staff shouldn't have to control someone else's kids.

Hotel was not far from anything I needed or wanted. Found staff very engaging. Hotel was comfortable but could hear noise from adjacent room easily, even snoring. Towels quite comfortable and bath well stocked. Found children's bracelets, old hotel privacy tabs, and food under chair cushions when looking for lost cell phone.
