Hyatt Place Jackson/ Ridgeland

Was for out of state family medical & legal. Hyatt place was very clean and comfortable considering the somber event. Very comforting

I traveled with my family. I needed housekeeping but it was scarce. I had to constantly ask for towels and trash removal. Never happened- got it myself.

This hotel was convenient for a tournament at The Ridgeland Tennis Center. It was right off the interstate, but still pretty quiet. Breakfast was decent and the kids enjoyed the pool. The only negative is that the brackets holding the air conditioner in our room to the floor were very sharp. Thankfully, we realized the potential issue before anyone could cut a foot.

Reserved 3 rooms for family and 2 of the three rooms had issues with rooms. There was some stains and splatter (blood or ketchup) on carpet and wall. Raised the issues with staff and we were moved to other rooms. Staff appologized and quickly assisted.

When we walked in the hotel the smell of urine was overwhelming. The floor was wet from kids running wet back and forth from the pool with no supervision and no caution wet floor sign. We check in the proceeded to our room. The hall in front of the elevator had 3-4 large black trash bags laying on the floor. When we got on the elevator it felt like a sauna and that feeling of extreme heat was the same in the halls all the way to our room. Our room was clean except the walls in the bathroom looked like they had black stuff on them. Which I’m not sure what it was. The next morning we went down at 9 am to have breakfast but there was no breakfast to be had. So we asked and they said come back down around 10. So we did and still no breakfast. They told us at check in the night before that breakfast was from 6am to 11am daily. I was very disappointed with the stay.

The staff was kind and helpful! Check in was quick and easy. The room was clean and the beds are so comfy! We also had to have 2 rooms and they made sure they were joining room without us asking!! So incredibly thoughtful!! Great breakfast!! Our only complaint is that it was so noisy due to the highway. Also the shades are not room darkening and we had a street light shining into our room all night. The pool was freezing but that did not stop my children but just a thought for others who may want to utilize the pool. It is not heated LOL Overall though, we would totally stay here again!

Just was there to sleep. Bed was VERY soft, which we don't care for. Air conditioner was VERY loud. My son thought it was a generator. BUT it cooled and got very cold in the room. Breakfast was included and was minimal compared to most others. Not the best overall experience wasn't bad either. Location was convenient for us and room had a couch bed for the family that was with us (family of 5), but they said when they pulled it out it was dirty and they had to get new linens. Then they gave them two fitted sheets.

No extra towels on-site. They had no sheets, bedding or pillows for the pull-out sofa bed that we needed for our kids.
