We are from New Orleans. Just returned from our second visit to the Scarlet Pearl in the past 3 months. We have stayed at about a dozen hotels in the Biloxi area over the past few years. Simply put, you will not find a nicer place to stay at even twice the price. The entire hotel is first class. The rooms are decorated in a very modern style, from the automatic window shades to the super luxury bath. Oh... most important, the rooms seem to be 100% soundproof. The doors weigh a ton!!! Even though it is not on the beach, some rooms have a romantic view of the bay... and the beach is only a 5 or 10 min drive. The casino is excellent and the huge putt putt course next door was a blast especially for kids that normally play video games indoors. As long as the room rates remain so very reasonable, we have no reason to shop around any more. The Scarlet Pearl is our new Gulf Coast home. Can't wait to get back.☺

I thought the hours that the amenities were available were very restrictive- especially for summertime (10am-8pm pool, Lava Links). I also felt somewhat like a prisoner in my room because my children weren’t allowed to be left alone. They are 14 (almost 15) and 17.

After traveling for hours and arriving at the property we were told we didn’t have a room because they overbooked. We were told rooms are on a first come first serve basis. Our room was paid for in advance. The manager was snippy and put us in a room that was the total opposite of what we booked and paid for. We were told our bill would be adjusted. I haven’t seen nor heard anything else about it. We were moved to the room we paid for the next day. We were called and told our room was ready. When we arrived to switch rooms, it wasn’t ready. We missed time with family waiting for our room; inconvenienced a second time. The staff, minus the manager was apologetic and felt bad. This was not a good experience for us (sisters and our 78 year old dad). Booking a room and paying for it doesn’t mean you get it according to the manager. I have traveled for many years and NEVER had that happen to me before.

Best resort in Biloxi area. D'iaberville is a quaint riverfront kid friendly resort with excellent staff. I will definitely stay again.

The hotel itself was fine. Beds were comfortable and room was nice. However, the check-in process was RIDICULOUS. My husband and I traveled with our 2 and 3 year old children and had to check them in. I got stuck in the lobby with my daughter because she was “not registered” and I could not register her as the hotel was in my husbands name. I however was on the list, and the room was paid for with my card. But my two year old daughter could not go to the room until my husband came downstairs with our other toddler to check her in. Mind you this was also at 2 am, and we were checking out in 9 hours at 11 am. The whole process was infuriating and unnecessary. Do not stay here if you don’t have extra hours for the check in process.

The staff at the front desk for checkin and the security guards they have at the elevators were horrible. The housekeepers were excellent. My family thought showing your ID every time you got on the elevator was very invasive and felt as if we were in prison to simply move back and forth to your rooms. I will not stay at this hotel again. The security guard also snatched my husband’s ID out of his hand. When we complained to the front desk we were told this is. Private Owned casino. I will stick with the IP, Harrahs, or Beau Rivage going forward.

I had two rooms, been there several hours and the staff continues to ask to see me and my family ID’s. Feel like we were being harassed. People were smoking in the nonsmoking section and nobody did anything about it. Me, my wife, daughter & son don’t smoke. That was a problem. That’s why we were unhappy. You have a beautiful casino. Minimize the ID checks & have the staff monitor the nonsmoking section for people smoking and we will return.

We loved the whole place, only 2 things we did not like. The room was so humid no matter what the air was on, hate that sticky feeling. Security is super tight. Had to register visiting family just to come up for 30 mins. Overall we loved the place. Small but big enough, ventilation was AMAZING. Will definitely return.
