Best Western Plus White Bear Country Inn

Our kids loved the bear pillows on the beds, the breakfast was wonderful, especially the scrambled eggs with bacon and green onions.

Pool is in an atrium area and is already a little dark and several of the lights inside the water were out if a kid was on the bottom you would have a hard time seeing them they need to fix ASAP. The pool also had a bad chlorine smell that indicates poor air circulation and was cloudy - I would not let anyone I know use it - It was bad

We got the suite because of the fridge and stove. The stove was broke and we told them about it, nobody came to fix it nor seemed to care. The microwave sounded like it was going to explode and had no glass plate inside. Adult swim is supposed to be in the later hours and there were little kids running and jumping into the pool and throwing a ball across the pool. We went to the hot tub and one of the kids literally jumped in the hot tub and splashed us twice. We left the hot tub to go sit on the chairs. When the children all finally got out of the hot tub there was something brown floating in it and we called it a night after that and just went back to our room and stood there the rest of our stay. I don’t think younger children should be in a hot tub, especially not unattended. I get it’s a family fun hotel, but it needs structure.

It’s probably a fun place to stay if you’re a kid or in the mood for a party. The noisiest hotel I’ve ever experienced. Not our cup of tea and won’t be returning.

Great hotel that makes you feel like family. Really enjoy staying here. Christmas decoration everywhere. It’s great.

I treated my three and six year old grandchildren and my daughter to an overnight stay after we had spent the day in Wisconsin riding the Pumpkin Express train to a kid pumpkin patch. After dinner at Rudy’s Redeye Grill, we swam in the pool until bedtime. It was a perfect day.

The hotel was very clean, staff was extremely helpful, asthetics were beautiful. The family enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The rooftop restaurant had a nice view and the food was excellent. The hotel is in a nice area of a beautiful town surrounded by lakes. I would highly recommend staying here and will again.

I pre-paid for a room with this hotel to provide lodging for guests to a house party. When my guests arrived after the party around 10:30 pm they were told that the hotel had overbooked and didn't have a room for them. The front desk man was very rude to my family. The hotel said they could put them up at another hotel about 25 minutes further away, which was difficult because we were experiencing a snowstorm. The from desk clerk was hostile and wouldn't help them arrange transportation to the other hotel. It took the restaurant manager to come out to help get them to the other hotel. Terrible service, terribly inconvenient and disappointing.

Always enjoy our stay at the White Bear Best Western. Great hotel with great staff. Our family feels at home here. The owner Bill is always working and will do anything to improve your experience.

Excellent hotel staff - efficient and very hospitable especially at the breakfast time. Liked being within walking distance of the lake with a small beach for the kids.
