Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rochester South Mayo Clinic

I was very disappointed as the pool was ICE cold. I couldn't even dangle my feet in it bc it was so cold. The hot tub wasn't working either. I felt like their website was misleading bc the #1 reason I chose them was the pool and hot tub. Yes, had I known before hand, I would have picked something with a working hot tub and pool bc that was a big part of our stay with 2 kids. I was so looking forward to the hot tub after a long day of trekking.

Came to stay for a couple days after my procedure since I didn’t want to make the long treck home right away. Got the accessible room since it would help me safely take care of myself whilst I was recovering. I honestly feel bad for whoever is wheelchair bound and has to use that shower. You guys have designed that room around a person being wheelchair bound, but yet there’s a tub with a little shower seat and a regular shower head, instead of a handheld one, with the most pitiful water pressure. The walls were a little worse for wear and need a little patch and paint. Our tub was definitely not cleaned prior to us checking in as evidenced by all the hair in the tub. Some of my family was staying in another room down from us and said the linens smelled dirty like they weren’t washed which was concerning. They have a shuttle that runs to Mayo so it’s understood that Mayo patients do stay there. I just would think they would like to provide a better environment for those individuals who need a safe and clean place to rest so they can focus on their health without breaking the bank.

Best night of rest in our 6 day family trip. Breakfast was basic, but everything else was excellent. Very comfortable bedding, very quiet and relaxing, just what we needed.
