Me and my boyfriend stayed in room 413 and we loved it. It was an incredibly charming hotel. It was like a museum and hotel in one. The location is extremely convenient. We walked around town at night and checked out the shops and ate dinner. I had booked this hotel because i had gone on a ghost walk last year, and they were talking about it on the walk. I did not experience any paranormal experiences, but i still loved the hotel stay! We had breakfast in one of the restaurants in the hotel, and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and would recommend eating at one of the restaurants in the hotel!

The attention to detail in restoring and furnishing this amazing historic hotel provided a wonderful experience while visiting this city full of family roots. Loved our time at the St. James!

As with most historical hotels, there are trade-offs. The hotel is charming with an interesting history. There are no fridges or microwaves and the bathroom is small. There was a loud family next to us with children running in the hall outside our room late at night. The beds were a bit saggy but the sheets were nice. The price was high and more luxury would be expected.
