Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Mankato East, an IHG Hotel

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in over the last few years! My son and I stayed down in Mankato due to my son having an 8 am appointment to take his driver’s road test and I wanted to make sure that he was comfortable driving in Mankato prior to him taking his test. (We live in a town with 0 roundabouts and Mankato has a bajillion roundabouts!). I picked the Holiday Inn Express for its location close to the DMV Testing site, its proximity to many of the different roundabouts in the area, the fact that a night’s stay included breakfast and because it had a pool and hot tub. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. We rested in the room for about an hour and then made our way out in to Mankato to give my son ample time to get used to driving in a town with ALL the roundabouts. We had a lovely supper in the City Center area of town, did some more driving, and then made our way back to the hotel to use the hot tub and pool. This hotel literally has the BEST hot tub, it is the biggest hotel hot tub I have ever seen and was HOT! It felt so good to relax in, and when we got too hot, we had a dip in the pool. There is also a very nice kiddie pool with a fun fountain as well. The pool area was well maintained and the chlorine levels were perfect (not high like most hotel pools). The beds were super comfy and we both slept very well. In the morning we enjoyed the many wonderful options for breakfast and then checked out. Great Stay!

wonderful place to stay with families. Great pool, and full breakfast! Noisy kids in hallway but staff took care of it after awhile.

Imam totally impressed with this hotel. I’ve traveled a lot, and it’s not often that I feel like I’d really like to stay again. Our room was in too top shape and very clean. Large a bathroom and ample amenities. And our fur baby was welcome there too! My only suggestion is to have recycling bins available. Kudos to the staff here and hotel management for running an excellent place!

The room and common areas were clean. The bathtub had hair in it and the bathroom floor had black fur all over it. Breakfast was good and even included GF options. The pool and kiddie area were great too.

This is a great hotel located close to shopping, the mall, and the freeway. The Hot Tub was huge! I counted 20 people in the hot tub at one time. There were a lot of kids in the pool and hot tub area, but that was fine.

I booked the suite for me, my husband, 13-year-old daughter, 30-year-old daughter and her 8-year-old and 1-year-old. The suite was HUGE - the perfect size for all of us. The girls so enjoyed having their own room with a TV. Front desk staff was super nice and very helpful. The pool area was perfect for our whole family. Breakfast was pretty good - all the girl wished there would have been waffles though ;) Overall - great stay for an overnight getaway with the kids.

Love that there’s a little kids pool and that we got the bigger room I asked for. Only this is there wasn’t sheets or a blanket for the pull out again we’ve stayed here 2 times before and same thing happened, when we went and asked for them we only got the sheet which was annoying a blanket should have been provided also

Was upset when my 3 year old pulled a glass alcohol bottle out the kid pool. Also my room had old food under the couch.

Truly surprised, the rooms were so large and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful and a great indoor pool area. Excellent place for families or anyone needing a nice place to stay.

We loved that it was pet friendly so we could bring our whole family with us. The breakfast was surprisingly good. Not just bagels and cream cheese. Staff was great . Roo.s were new and clean. Nice stay and we will be back. Toilet seemed old though and needed to flush a couple times.
