Blue Moon Resort and Motel

The Blue Moon was a good stopover for us on a long trip. Owner was very friendly as were others we met there. It's a good place for families!

One of the worst hotel nights I have ever has. No one was available at the office, so we had to call. Someone did come about 10 minutes after we arrived. Room seemed ok after checking in. However about an hour after that things went downhill. People arrived or checked in next door. They immediately started making a huge amount of noise. They were yelling, crying, banging on the walls, and this went on for hours. It sounded like unsupervised children and teenagers. The walls in this place are paper thin. After several hours of this, we called the number that was posted on the front door to ask them to tell the people to quiet down. It was after midnight at this point. The person from the hotel said he would “try to contact someone” and it was obvious as the loud noise continued that no effort was made to stop them. I don’t even think anyone from the hotel was on site overnight. The noise continued until 5am and we got absolutely no sleep after a very long day. We were unable to reach anyone or find anyone to check out and were also unable to get a receipt. We left a message for the manager who didn’t answer the phone and didn’t return our call. It wasn’t the hotels fault they had noisy guests, but it was their choice to so absolutely nothing about it, making for a miserable experience for anyone else within earshot. There were also clouds of mosquitoes everywhere. Never staying here again.
