Holiday Inn Express Romulus / Detroit Airport, an IHG Hotel

We arrived late in the evening. We got a suite which supposed to be a "business" suite but did not even have a pen or paper available. The business suite had no door between the rooms (family rooms do have a door. The carpet was dirty and the hinge to the cabinet were the fridge was broken and so an electrical outlet. The sleeper sofa had an old worn mattress on it and you could feel the metall springs poking in your back. The breakfast was ok. Water pressure was best ever that why I gave 2 stars. No, I would not stay here again. I tried to call hotels.com to request a stay in another hotel or a refund but I was just blocked from communicating and there was a 2 hr wait when I called. I feel like the hotel was not worth the $527.09 I paid. Wanted to attach some photos was could not

This property had everything we needed and was very comfortable. As a family of 5, the suite was just right for our overnight. Would definitely book again.

Please do yourself a favour and do not waste your money on this hotel. Rooms are nothing like pictures. I am paying $275 for a night for a total mess. I am staying for one night and thank God checking out tomorrow. 1-I called several times for a crib for my 3 years old and they reassured me it will be there. We arrived by 8 pm and they said the bed is coming. We went out and when came back there is no crib. Reception says its 10 pm and no housekeeping. Sorry no crib. My child should on bed while it is unsafe. 2- Bathtub is dirty 3-drawer of the room is filled with garbage. This is on top of extremely dirty carpets allover the place. I have pictures.

When we arrived at the hotel they did not honor our reservation and there was no room available. We were running late but I called several hours before and was assured all would be fine. All the rooms were sold out. I was told a reservation did not guarantee a room but a reservation was to hope to get a room. Never heard that one before. If they had called and told me we could have made other arrangements. Spent the night with my special needs child in the airport. No offer for compensation just no cancellation fee. That was big of them.

Convenient to airport, offers a suite for a family of five at a reasonable price. Wouldn’t pick for a week stay as a bit dated in lobby and such, great deal for a quick stay before hitting the airport

This hotel charged my family the original price for the room, plus a double charge and refuses to fix the problem. No contact even though they were to reach out in 48 hours. This hotel also looks completely different than the pictures online. Staff was okay, room was sort of clean I guess. Not worth the over $400 in room charge that you refuse to fix though. Terrible.

We had the family suite which is a set of adjoining rooms, but only one bathroom. It worked for what we needed. Did not eat breakfast. Did use the shuttle, which was on time. Fine for a one night stay.
