Hotel Indigo Traverse City, an IHG Hotel

We needed a clean, no-frills hotel for our family trip to Traverse City. You can’t beat the location of this hotel—it was conveniently located within walking distance of downtown. I was disappointed by the mandatory valet for on-site parking. I prefer to have easy access to my vehicle, and not to have strangers handling my vehicle. The hotel was nice and clean. We were offered housekeeping, I accepted, and they never came—I would have been upset if we had stayed more than two nights. The location is noisy, with heavy traffic just outside the window at all hours of the day, but the hotel does provide a sound machine, which was a nice feature. I would have liked to see an in-room safe offered, particularly because this is a beach-friendly vacation destination. I ordered breakfast to go from the restaurant downstairs and it was very good and quick. The small amenities area was super overpriced. $5.50 for four ibuprofen pills.

Close to Munson Medical Center where my husband is a patient. Would be nice to have discounted rates for families of Munson patients to stay. I only needed a place to sleep and shower. The hotel is very nice and the room is very comfortable. Not a fan of the valet parking as the only option.

We had an excellent experience as a family. We enjoyed the stay and the hotel is modern and clean. Service was amazing. Food was so delicious
