One night stay with grandkids. Hotel ownership needs to decide if their intent is to remain a mediocre facility or address facility appearance to move it out of current funk that it appears to be in. Starting with moving the smoking area away from the main entrance of the hotel. Nothing says welcome more than cigarette butts on the ground and the smell of tobacco smoke in the air as you enter the main doors. Carpeting in various areas needs to be cleaned or updated. Trim work in room and halls attention. Pool basin needed cleaning. All this appears to be a management issue. Got the impression that the friendly staff was doing all they could to make the best of a facility that needs upgraded. Disappointed that Marriott has not taken measures to improve the look and feel of this facility. Would give it a 3-4 on a scale of 10.
