Fairfield by Marriott Kalamazoo West

Over priced, pool was down for "maintenance" though the many times we checked no one was working on it. The room smelled alot like bleach and the bedding made us itch. We did not sleep well and we were really bummed cause I paid extra and drove further for use of the pool with the kids to have it down and no one knew when it would be up. We left before the breakfast sleeping about 3 hours. Will not be back.

Stayed for one day, had two rooms. Reception lady Pamela was super good and sweet in attending our family during Check In.Even during checkout the staff was good and considerate. Hotel room, bed, washroom and all the aspect were good.

There were kids running up and down the halls, slamming doors, yelling and parents being noisy as well. This was both nights we stayed, til past midnight. Took my 5 year old to the pool and it was a s**t show, a ton of kids just belly flopping into the pool splasing as much as possible. I got my kid out after just a couple minutes because these nasty kids were jumping right next to her head, parents just letting it happen. The breakfast area was trashed almost immediately, people leaving huge messes on every surface. Overall, nearly every guest we encountered was disrespectful to both staff and other guests, and the hotel needs to hire more staff to be able to deal with these trashy guests. Oh, and there was blood on the floor in the elevator. I watched an employee use the elevator and pretend it wasn't there. We will be avoiding this place like the plague, probably avoiding the general area tbh.

It was a pleasant stay. Room was very clean. If I had to criticize anything it would be the free breakfast, but then again I didn't try everything that was available. Pool area was standard IMO but the kids had a good time. I liked the addition of the patio area that connected to the pool area. Overall I would stay again if I were in the Kalamazoo area.

Amazing staff, great breakfast, and the location was perfect for our visit with family and a family wedding.

Clean hotel. Grandkids enjoyed the pool. Great free breakfast.

Everyone in this place was HIGH you could smell it in the parking lot, in the lobby, in the elevator in the rooms everywhere. There was an SUV sitting in the drop off zone with dark tinted windows just parked. sometimes with engine running sometimes not and random people going to and from from lobby and back to SUV we were given a room with an adjoining door to the next room (totally unsafe) and I hadn’t seen those in ages - the smell of the burning pot was coming though that into our room and LOUD music / tv sounds We LEFT NOT family SAFE or inviting If you want to smoke pot and wonder around like a zombie THEN this is the place for you OTHERWISE pass this place by…
