Best Western Okemos/East Lansing Hotel & Suites

Having issues with my kids getting jumped on by multiple bigger kids and multiple adults from separate parties have complained and they keep threatening one more time and you’re out and never went through with it. Made our evening very stressful on what was supposed to be a relaxing family night.

Nice place. Family-oriented, at least on this nice weekend - full of children and teenagers. Hot breakfast: filling if not necessary gourmet. Would stay here again.

My family and I have stayed at the hotel several times in the past few years while visiting our son at MSU. This time the service was poorer. Often there was no one present at the front desk and the keys didn't work.

Pool was very crowded with kids someone was using it for a birthday party

Upon checking in my room was disgusting! When turning on the light I put my hand through cobwebs, the carpet looked as though it had never been vacuumed and the bathroom was disgusting. I called the front desk and requested fresh bedding, towels and housekeeping to come take care of this and never received a single thing! The only reason I stayed is because it was too late to find another hotel and I had already paid and was told that there would be no refund! I will NEVER stay at another Best Western nor recommend to another person! There were middle school aged and high school kids running up and down the halls all hours of the night. The breakfast was cold and greasy, not edible at all. The microwave didn’t work and the refrigerator was so dirty I could not put a bottle of water in it!

One night stay with our family for an event on campus. The room was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 4. Honestly, one of the biggest suites we’ve stayed at and everything was clean and in good repair. Breakfast was fantastic, the pool facility and lobby were nice and lots of conference rooms.

This property has all the potential of being a great place but....I'm not even sure if there were elevators, if there were, we did not see them and we were on the 2nd floor. Step up the breakfast with little things like peanut butter, real oatmeal with toppings, boiled eggs. Our room wasn't cleaned while we were there, which left us lacking in coffee, cups, towels, trash area.....unfortunately we had some sketchy neighbors which young children overheard arguements about money for services.....

Upon check in there were four young adults smoking marijuana at the entrance. Guy who checked us in was rude. Exhausted from a long day we went to bed strait away about 9pm there was music blasting from downstairs, I went to ask about it they promised it would be over at 11pm. At 11:45 I called and they said they didn’t know. I went downstairs again as my family couldn’t sleep it was that loud only to find people in the door way smoking again and stinking up the hallway, the promised soon the music would be off. At 12:30 people were running though the halls knocking on doors and running away. Finally at 12:45 the music shut down. For breakfast the juice machine was broken, out of waffle mix, no coffee, Just cold food and warm water. We stayed here twice this year as we come to lansing often but will not again

Overall it is a nice Best Western. Our room, two queens, was good. Nice shower head. My friend’s room, a king suite, was actually in a bit worse condition. Other guests made the stay less pleasant; down the hall from king suite people were smoking, and when we went to use the fitness equipment there were young adults and kids in the room abusing the equipment. The equipment itself was mostly adequate, benches taped up, seems like the staff tolerate abuse of equipment. The breakfast was typical included fare, but hot, and staff worked hard to keep everything stocked, from yogurts to scrambled eggs.

It was clean beds were great, front desk was excellent Breakfast was good, close to everything. I will be staying here whenever in okemos. My other family members stayed here because my son got married. We all loved it
