Holiday Inn Express & Suites Howell, an IHG Hotel

When booking this room, we were not informed that the hotel was under renovation. The renovation is understandable since the entire hotel seemed severely outdated. I could overlook that part of it. However, the hallways and our room were not properly cleaned. The floor in our room was heavily stained, the bathroom mirror was covered in toothpaste splatter, the makeup wipe packet on the bathroom counter had a dead bug squished on it, around the beds had food crumbs that hadn’t been vacuumed, and flat surfaces still showed beverage rings that weren’t wiped up. The breakfast area is currently in a meeting room that was unable to accommodate more than a handful of people. A family member of ours had their own room with similar issues to ours and I overheard another guest also complaining to the front desk about the lack of cleanliness of their room. I would say do better communicating the state of your hotel when people book rooms and housekeeping needs to be addressed immediately.

I felt like I was home with friends and family. Everyone whom I came in contact with would always smile and say hello. Anything I ever needed was always welcomed and immediately taken care of. I will highly recommend this property to anyone who stays in the Howel, MI area and I will certainly stay there again.
