The Red Lion Inn

Revisiting this icon where we had not been since we were kids. The charm remains, the staff is excellent, the food and cocktails/wine great. They have options for hearing live music in their renovated den. The bedroom in the extended building was quite disappointing however. Very dated, doesn’t function well for modern travelers: bathroom tub was tough to get in and out and bathroom not organized for products. Overall a well run icon, hopefully some more upgrades continue to modernize rooms.

Definitely one of the best hotels my family and I have ever been to. A must for any family

We have been coming to the Red Lion for over 30 years- coming several times a year - anniversary, ski trips with our kids, bringing friends and relatives. It has deteriorated in so many areas - the grounds, the upkeep of the inn and adjoining buildings, staff and hospitality. The topper was the pool was not in use for the entire time we were there. We come to sit and relax at the pool. No apologies, no explanations, no gesture of good will to acknowledge the inconvenience. Our anniversary which has always been acknowledged and recognized by the inn would not have been if I didn’t remind them at check in. No special note, little arrangement of flowers like in years past. Sadly disappointed since this has always been our special go-to spot. Looking for a new inn to enjoy in the Berkshires

Historic property with a very well keep and modern pool/hot tub area. The meal outside left much to be desired ($$$ for 4 overcooked rack of lamb pieces) but staff was nice an accommodating. would definitely return with my children.

It is an historic property with amazing attention to detail. Staying at the Inn was extremely convenient to attend a baby shower on site. Staff are courteous and professional. An excellent experience.

Charming historic inn in the center of Stockbridge. Unfortunately, our room was up many stairs which was difficult for our elderly family member; no additional rooms were available. The room itself was cozy, but not updated. The door was missing a knob, outlets did not work and the space generally could have used a little sprucing up. However, it was pleasant for our weekend stay, it was generally clean, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed sitting on the porch every day- great ambience.
