Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Great Barrington, an IHG Hotel

We will be back. Great hotel, great breakfast, great staff. Pool was open late so the kids were able to swim after dinner.

The room was very clean, spacious, good water pressure in shower and sink and I. Particular their were no issues with water drainage in sink or shower which we can not say about the Marriott chain and most other hotels we’ve stayed at. As a family we’ve gotten into the habit of running shower and sinks before we settle on to our room and oftentimes we need to switch to a room that has no plumbing issues. The beds and linens at Holiday Inn Express were extremely comfortable. The amenities are bare-bones but our priorities are on cleanliness, comfort, safety, and exceptional hotel staff of which this Holiday Inn Express in Great Barrington delivered. Note: this particular hotel chain is very popular with families and during the breakfast “crush” the dining area can get quite crowded. Having said that, we were amazed by the dining staff who always has replenished coffee and we’re attending to the multiple requests of other guests.

Super close to Butternut! Excellent location for family skiing

We've been here a few times, most recently staying four nights and five days and into the New Year. As usual we had a great time and our two kids (3 and 5) loved it! Free breakfast is always a plus and it's great to go downstairs and be able to fuel up before even heading outside (especially when you're gearing up for full days of skiing!) They have enough hot and cold selection so even after four days, things never got repetitive. The staff working the breakfast are always nice as are the folks working the desk (shoutout to Stephen and Lasya!) A major factor in our decision to consistently stay here is their indoor pool and hot tub, and it's extremely appreciated that they keep their pool at a very warm temperature. Our two kids spent a good hour in the pool each day and never complained of being cold! Thanks again for another great stay, and we'll be back soon enough!
