Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Scott - Lafayette West, an IHG Hotel

The reception was amazing super friendly, courteous professional talked to my family engaged us overall amazing customer service. I will stay there again when I’m on my way back to Texas.

Every single staff member was extremely welcoming. Room was clean and stocked with full sized Dove body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Pool was great, the pool attendant even went and brought out pool toys for my kids. The breakfast was delicious and the breakfast attendant was very sweet.

The hotel was nice. Cleanliness could have been better. When we pulled the desk chair out, there was food on the floor which means the room did not get fully vacuumed and cleaned. That is really my only complaint, however. Everything else seemed to be pretty clean. Front desk staff was very friendly. It is literally next door to the Koa so we were able to easily visit our family camping there.

Location was convenient to my activity, breakfast set-up was good. Check-in was a huge issue. I tried to have early check-in at 2:15 but they were not ready — understandable. They said we could wait and rooms would be cleaned and available at 3pm. We waited and rooms were still not ready. In the meantime, a huge group continued to come in for another event and the lobby full of people grew to 20 waiting. As I waited for a normal king room, I noticed people advancing through the line were getting rooms. I checked again and they said my room was not ready. It is now past 4pm and I had seen couples, families, and pairs of ladies get rooms as I am still waiting. There was no way a king room was not cleaned and available to me in the past two hours. They obviously just gave rooms to whoever was at the desk when they opened. They said they were down a washer machine, cleaning staff person, and the computer was on the fritz — yet others were getting rooms not based on arrival. After standing in front of the desk and constantly asking about my room, I finally got one after 4:30pm. Totally inexcusable and very disorganized. If it had not been prepaid and other options limited, I would have gone elsewhere.
