Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Lafayette, an IHG Hotel

When we walked in the room smelled of mildew carpet and the bathroom was worse. I went to the front desk to ask for some air freshener. There were food particles on the lamp base on the TV stand and in the microwave. That night my wife cut her leg on the bed frame, not too bad, front desk gave me Band-Aids, but there was blood on the sheet. We left for the day before housekeeping got there and when we returned the room stunk again. When I pulled the sheet bad on the bed the blood stain was still there, evidently, they don't change the bedding until the next tenant comes in. Now I understand why the price was cheaper than any of the other Hotels I looked at. Because of this experience I will not stay or refer Holiday Inn Express to anyone I know, especially in Lafayette area, where my wife's family are from. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

We were placed on the first floor near the staircase during a tournament weekend. We didn’t sleep one wink either night due to kids stomping up and down the stairs and jumping off the steps. We ended up changing hotels.

The staff was so helpful . We were close to many restaurants and to our family's residence. Great shopping near by.

First of all, I made my 2 night reservation in January because my son was graduating from college in Lafayette in May, & I knew hotels would book up fast. My reservation was for a 2 queen bed suite so it had a sofa bed also. We get there & the girl at the front desk finds my reservation & gets me to sign papers. As I'm looking at the paper, it says 2 queen regular room. So I question that. She then looked into my reservation more & stated that she saw the reservation was made months ago for the suite but they must have given it to someone else & that was the only room similar left. She advised me to speak to the manager the next day. The room- the internet wouldn't connect for one of my kids. The towels were stained. The iron didn't work. The refrigerator had open water bottles in it so apparently it wasn't even looked in when the room was suppose to be cleaned. One of the beds sounded like it was breaking every time you moved in it. When I talked to the manager, he was not too concerned. He told me the air conditioner was broke in the room I booked so that's why I got the other room. So was the a/c broke or did they give the room I reserved to someone else like the girl told me when I checked in? As we were checking out, another lady was complaining about her stay & the room to the manager. I will never stay at this hotel again & will not recommend it to anyone!!
