Candlewood Suites Houma, an IHG Hotel

Small weekend family trip to my hometown, conveniently located near shopping centers and restaurants. Staff was professional, helpful and welcoming. Facilities were clean. Pool area and BBQ area were clean. Suggest bringing bug spray, if wanting to use pool or picnic area. Laundry facilities were free and very much clean. Might be our go to accomodations whenever we visit

Short on linens, no coffee. Dingy and musty throughout. More suited to work crew than family . Good location and friendly staff. Better options available for the price.

The property was great for the price. Spacious room with full size fridge is always a plus with a family.. This property needs attention from corporate. They have a linen shortage, so we had to buy a couple towels around the corner at Target. Not a deal breaker for the stay. They do offer on site laundry, which is also a plus when traveling with a family. But again, they need attention from corporate to get 5 of the six dryers in working condition. The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating so in the end, it was a pleasant stay and I would return.
