Sleep Inn & Suites Oakley I-70

Understaffed but very friendly. Floors were disgusting. Need new carpets! Turned my kids feet black. Breakfast subpar.

The hotel was nice overall. We arrived after midnight along with multiple other travelers and checkin was slow/odd. The front desk clerk said she would bring the paper requiring a signature and slip it under our door. Instead, she came to our room after about 20 minutes, knocked, and then used the master key to open the door. She said their system showed no one in that room and she sold it to someone else. (Really jarring experience). This was after 1am and my small kids were sleeping. The next morning the new front desk staff told me not to worry about the forms and I didn't push the issue further.

The hotel was nice and staff was friendly, but the smell from nearby cattle lots was unbearable and nauseating. As soon as you step out of your car, it hits you and is awful! My family has raised cattle my entire life, but I have never smelled them like I did in this area. The smell alone will keep me from ever staying in this town again.
