Holiday Inn Express Newton, an IHG Hotel

Just an overnight while visiting family in town. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and because it was a week night, the place was quiet. The cinnamon rolls at breakfast were tasty.

We stayed for 4 days in April 2024 for a family reunion in the area. This hotel seems fairly typical of what I would expect for the brand & price range which is a notch or two better than your average hotel room. We ended up getting a better price because the room we reserved was not available when we arrived. Nothing really bad and nothing particularly exceptional, though the room was spacious and the bed reasonably comfortable. Cleanliness was pretty good, the heating/cooling unit worked fine, and the location was only a short distance to Walmart and fast food. They were doing renovations when we arrived, but this didn't really hamper our stay. Our only real complaint is that the maids came into our room to do room service even though we left the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, which was quite strange. Food was decent but I would not want to eat breakfast here for more than a few days as there was not much variety. All in all I think a solid 4 out of 5 is fair.

We checked in at midnight this i will agree was a quick an easy process which was much appreciated when one is ready to get rest quickly. The room itself was dirty the restroom had hair in the sink and the toilet was still dirty. There was 2 queen beds which was great for my two kids and myself that was until on one of the beds when the pillows got removed to lay down there was loose skittles not inside a bag under them. This could only suggest the prior occupant only used maybe one bed and housekeeping didnt check the unused bed which unfortunately had the items under the pillow.
