Hampton Inn Garden City

This will be my 3rd time with this Hampton Inn and we always extra satisfied. The breakfast is spectacular because they different options every day. There is something about their coffee too. I love it and my family will always stay here when we are in Garden City.

We have stayed at this property several times in the past. This stay was surprisingly disappointing. There were several good points; the staff was very friendly and the managers reception (free lasagna) was a nice surprise. Unfortunately that’s where the good ends. The beds were rock hard, pillows felt old and dirty. No hot water. At all. Rooms were loud, could hear neighbors all night. Pool was beyond freezing. Breakfast was gone when we arrived at 8am. Bummer as this has been our ‘go-to’ as a layover when driving cross-country to see family for some time. Won’t be staying at this Hampton again.

I really liked about everything except I felt it was difficult for my family and me to get up out of your couches as they were too low. The other thing we were not pleased with was the smell on the 2nd floor. I dont know what it was but the other floors did not have it. The second day it was less.

Our whole family planned a trip to the Grand Canyon and on our way back we stopped at the Hampton Inn in Garden City. We arrived anout 10 pm. Jackie at the front desk greeted us, checked us in (4 rooms) and gave us our keys. She had a smile on her face the whole time even though it was 10 o'clock. After a long drive she welcomed us and ended our day with a smile. Jackie is a jewel.... you need more employees like her!

Overall this hotel was very nice and clean. The down side was I took kids to indoor pool and you couldn't even breath it was so hot in there you would sweat while you were in the pool. Front desk said they would call maintenance and she was great in trying to correct problem. It was never fixed while we stayed there.
