Hampton Inn & Suites Sioux City South

A lovely place to rest with your family. Great pool. Plenty of breakfast options and kind staff. Comfortable rooms and many amenities nearby.

Very nice for Memorial wknd visiting family. Warm breakfast, varied each morning. Bed was comfortable, bath nice size, & convenient storage. Only downside was bathroom sink didn’t work, which is a concern when we both wear contacts. Even tho we reported it right away, it was not repaired.

One of staff was a little rude but other than that it was good besides kids running in the halls.

Everything was great! Until Saturday night when the occupants in the room above us would stomp every time they moved across the room. Kids or adults it was annoying. Same thing happened early Sunday morning. Sounded like kids jumping off the bed & landing on the floor over and over.

The hotel is very clean, we’ve stayed here before. However this trip wasn’t the best. We checked in Friday afternoon and Friday night the couple next to us decided to get into a fight and it spilled into the hallway. Screaming, yelling, and cussing. Fun times. Then, Friday night we listened to undisciplined kids run up and down the hallway. My kids never would’ve done that. If that wasn’t enough, the people above us had kids stomping on their floor (our ceiling) and no adult seemed mindful enough of others to stop the kids. Oh, the people next door, yeah they returned late and had people in their room partying it up. This was NOT our best couples weekend getaway.

Another great Hampton Inn, seems new. Grandkids ages 5 and 7 love the pool with small water slide. We left right before breakfast service began, unfortunately no small boxes of cereal we could grab and go.

We are visiting our grandchildren and I needed an assessable room, because of my knee. We love the location and the proximity to restaurants and shopping.

This was our first stay at this hotel and it was very clean and well-maintained, solid furniture and nice features. The only downside is that there was something going on in town with lots of college girls and younger kids. I wish we were on the top floor as all weekend we had stomping upstairs. I’m sure another time it would be quieter, but a great hotel.
