Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Newton

My wife and I stayed here the night of our wedding last week. From the second we walked in we were greeted very kindly and treated the same throughout our stay. Room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. Only thing to give a heads up one is the fact they don’t have vending machines in the building. There’s is a gas station in the parking lot of the hotel, a 24hr Loves truck stop with a attached McDonald’s across the street or a Casey’s not far down the road if you need a snack or drink. Overall great experience with super nice people and would recommend to my family friends!

Room was surface clean, we got in and were so tired that we didn’t pay attention much to the room. The next morning we noticed that the top of the head board looked like it only got dusted when a pillow was thrown against it. Bathroom floor needed swept behind the door and under the sink, mirror in the living area of our room had what looked like smudge marks from a small child. I did let the front desk know at checkout and they did adjust my rate $20, and were very nice about it. Overall I’d stay again if I needed to, but I’d look at the room as I got in it.

Great alternative for family visiting students at Grinnell--20 minute drive which was important as we were late for one event. Clean, reasonably priced, breakfast and wifi provided in the overall costs.

Staff was very friendly; hotel is not only clean but very spacious; I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends!!
