Upon arriving at the hotel the first thing you are greeted by is an "out of order" sign on the rotating door. Not a big deal other than my kids being excited to use it. The lobby is very nice & spacious, but the rooms are like stepping back in time. The air conditioning would not adjust and the room was very stifling. The handicap shower still had hair in it from the previous guest. There is no exhaust an in the bathroom and the holder for the handheld shower wand was just a suction cup that fell off in the middle of my shower and slid half way across the bathroom. I had to either drop the wand, which would flood the bathroom, or turn the water off for the duration of my shower. Thankfully my trip was just for one night and there was very little time spent at the hotel.

We arrived and told room isnt ready and to come back in 1 hour. We returned at 5pm and room still wasn’t ready. I said I have my family driving around town and shouldn’t it be done. She told me it “wasn’t their fault” because they had a football team check out and short on maids. We got to our room soon after at 5;15pm. The next morning at 7:30am I took my grandson to swim (what he looks forward to most) and it was locked. Sign said 6am-11pm. The front desk told me the maintenance person needs to unlock and they are late today (but implied again that this too “wasn’t their fault”. I was just disappointed that these items were approach very laid back and no effort made compensate or really even apologize. It was just “oh well” attitude.

Overall the hotel was fine for what I needed as I was just visiting my sister so we weren't at the hotel much. The beds were really comfy & the room seemed clean enough. It's a bummer to have to pay for breakfast on top of the costs & there was not a microwave or fridge in the room. I also heard kids screaming & running around until late, quiet time isn't until 11 pm. Again it was fine for what I needed but feel it was overpriced considering.

Our reservation was for 1 room with 2 beds. We got a room with 1 bed and a hidda bed. For 2 adults and a teenager wrestler thank goodness our other teenager didn't come with us as we had planned. Then we called front desk about room and beds and was told that the hidda bed was considered as a bed. They ask us if we had any bedding in the room and we said no they said they would send someone up. Almost an hour passed my husband went to the front desk and asked for bedding, they said it's on its way. A few minutes later a gentleman knotted on the door and gave us a sheet and the split cover that they put underneath the mattress. The room next to us has a screaming child. So disappointed we were only an hour away from home but wanted to get a good night's sleep for Sundays wrestling meet.

Marriott has always been a very nice place to stay, safe and quiet and close to everything. And as an added bonus, the beds have always been super comfortable! I don’t stay in hotels often due to costs, but splurged for a special family weekend. I expected the usual comfort and amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. However the pictured suite that I reserved and what I received were two different things. I chalked that up to reserving through an online booking site and went on about business getting things settled in the room. When I went to bed that night I was extremely disappointed. The cover sheet had multiple holes in it, there was no blanket, and the comforter barely covered the bed. The mattress was horrendous! It was hard as a rock! I haven’t had any bad experiences at Marriott until now, and will be searching for other hotels to stay at in the future.

Air conditioning did not work, said they would need to come in our room while family was sleeping to get into ceiling to switch it to air conditioning instead of furnace. Also shouldn’t be able to open a window on the third floor this far, let alone be able to open it at all, no screens etc.

Almost everything was great. People especially kids go from the pool dripping wet so the floor in spots was wet and slippery.
