Comfort Inn & Suites Cedar Rapids North - Collins Road

We checked in Friday late 10PM. Check in went fine he was friendly. Got to our room and it smelled awful. Smelled like the carpet was cleaned then left to dry with all the water left in it. My husband and I asked the next morning to change rooms and we were told they were sold out and nothing could be done about smell. "Sorry" is all we got. We went to Dollar Tree and got air fresheners to be able to stand the next couple days. Our 5 year old couldn't swim in the pool it was so cold, and the hot tub looked like it hadnt been properly taken care of with cement bottom. There was also a creepy man that hung around outside our room all day Saturday and Sunday morning. He would look in our door every time we left. Peak around the corner to watch us walk away. We had a 15 yo and 5 yo with us so I mentioned it to the clerk that he was creeping my family out and we felt very uncomfortable. The clerks response was "oh yeah he is one of the owners"..... WHAT!!! We as a family are in hotels every weekend and have never had such awful experience. We will never stay here again and would not recommend

Very nice hotel. Checking was easy. Friendly staff. Room was spacious, bed was very comfortable. Although we did not use the pool, we saw many kids enjoying it and the adults enjoying the hot tub. Would stay here again!

We have stayed in many Comfort Inns. This one is by far the most underwhelming of all of them. 3 rooms were rented by our family. Each one of us had to switch to a different room. Floors not vacuumed, no light above sink, sink drain disconnected, electric outlet didn’t work and all at the highest price ever.

We had a family emergency and a family member was in the ER and unable to come along so we needed to cancel the day of, our arrival, I explained in detail what happened, and that the hotel would have been sympathetic to the situation and allow us to cancel one room but they still charged us for the other room even though we were not able to use, , The manager was cold, rude and a very cavalier attitude, we will not stay at this property again,
