Holiday Inn Express & Suites South Bend - South, an IHG Hotel

While the room and hallways had a few areas that could have been cleaner, it wasn’t that bad. All of the staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again next time I need to visit family.

The past two days we were awaken by false fir alarms around 4:30. Not the easiest situation when traveling with a child with autism.

Upon check in, after checking our room, we found it wasn’t enough for 2 adults &. 1 child as our reservation requested. They quickly changed our room to the correct one. When we left for dinner we let them know we didn’t have any body wash but did have bar soap. Said they would refill it the next day, they did not. Our 2nd morning of breakfast, we got downstairs at 8:30, there was hardly anything left, with still an hour left for serving. They did offer to see what they could do but we decided to go out as it would be a 45 minute wait. Told them at checkout of our disappointment, they apologized but didn’t offer a credit. We will probably stay elsewhere next time

FANTASTIC! And, this is coming from someone who is very very picky about hotels. This hotel is basically brand new and the location is perfect for visiting family that live near downtown South Bend. - very clean: clean bathroom (shower, toilet & floors), clean floor & furniture, BEDDING & PILLOWS, clean lobby & breakfast station - VERY comfy bed, got a great night sleep both nights - pretty decent breakfast selection (meats, pancakes, bagels, muffins, oatmeal, pancakes, yogurt, etc.) - staff are nice and to the point during check in/check out and breakfast attendants - free parking & WiFi, good TV channels - room was very spacious I think that the fact this hotel is new plays a large role in the quality and cleanliness but I hope that the standards continue to stay like this as the hotel ages. But, great stay and will plan to stay here each time we come visit family!
