Embassy Suites by Hilton South Bend at Notre Dame

Most embassy suites the pool is open until 11pm. With this hotel being close to the central time border, it would be nice if this one would be too. This hotel not really family/kid friendly but loved being at Notre Dame

The property is wonderful and in a perfect location. However, we were very disappointed to discover the pool was closed due to repairs. Nothing was stated on the website or mentioned during checkin. We realize that it might be out of their control, but communicating this to us would have been helpful. We thankfully discovered the closed pool ourselves before changing into our suits, unlike another family we saw walking toward the pool in their suits.

For starters, this hotel is absolutely wonderful. A new (I assume) property located directly across from Notre Dame. The entire area is top notch. We stayed for 3 nights for a family wedding. The room was immaculate, the bed was very comfortable and surprisingly, unlike almost every hotel I've ever stayed at, the pillows were fantastic. The room rate included a free breakfest buffet every day and was very nice. I would give the stay the best rating possible but for one issue. When we woke up the first morning we noticed that to get house cleaning you had to scan a QR code that would allow you to text for the service. We did so and left for the afternooon. When we came back to get ready for the wedding around 2:00 the room still hadn't been done so around 3:30 when we left for the wedding we asked the front desk and were told it was on the list. When we got back that evening after the wedding it still had not been done and we were too tired to bother, The following morning we again went to the desk and it was then that we realized how incredibly understaffed the hotel was and we know that is the case everywhere. The lady at the desk, Tina, had been fantastic trying to help us and after breakfast we found out that her managing director Cedric was actually cleaning our room himself. I cannot blame any of the employees for what was a minor inconvenience as they all went over and above .

Family stay with three little kids and a dog. Having two rooms worked well to separate the baby from other sleepers. Breakfast is great! Parking isn’t great - we had to pay an extra $14 to use their garage. The nearby road was a little noisy in the night, even on the 4th floor. But overall, it was a very nice stay.

I received a Friendly greeting as soon as I walked in my family enjoyed the complimentary cocktails and snacks we will only stay at Embassy suites from now on. Excellent experience

I love the larger room and free breakfast for a larger family.
