Courtyard by Marriott Indianapolis Northwest

Booked for a quick overnight stay, but unfortunately did not get any sleep. Walls were paper thin and room was directly beside the elevator -- with children and a booked hotel, we were awaken at every hour of the night, could hear the elevator every time it dinged and arrived. Could even hear the cleaning ladies conversing next door and had to just get out of bed after a terrible night's sleep and take off. Also, very strong scent of pool bleach, in the lobby and elevators and halls.

Check in was fast. Personnel was very nice. Everything was clean. It was hot outside, but our room was nice and cool and not muggy when we checked in. They had plenty of games for kids in the lobby and plenty of drinks for poeple coming back from the Indy 500. I would definitely recommend.

When we arrived, the computer system was down. There was a line of people just standing around, some for more than an hour. The person at the desk was on two phones trying to remedy the situation, but this was definitely beyond his control. Very disappointing, as our 3 children missed the swim time due to the long wait to check in and get a room.

Our family stayed one night. The pool needed to be swept there was a lot of hair and other debris. But most disappointing is breakfast was not included! I ran down to get 2 bagels for my sons and was charged $10! Otherwise it was a nice place and staff was pleasant.

It was beautiful but SO LOUD! I couldn’t sleep at all. Sound proofing would go a long way. I heard toilets flushing, all people in the hallway, and the elevator (which was 5 doors down). I go on vacation to catch up on sleep from kids, and this was very frustrating.

First, the customer service was fantastic. Both the morning and night staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. This is not a reflection on them. Also, the room was at least clean. Overall I was disappointed in my stay because I didn't find any value in the room. The free coffee was one cup and terrible. The tv didn't offer any channels for my 4 & 2 year old. The "free" Internet data choke was ridiculous -again- not helpful for decompressing young children from a long trip. The room didn't have a mini-fridge, makes it hard to store say, I don't know, milk some families may want to bring along. And finally, there was no free breakfast. I don't mind parting with $134 for a hotel room, but the onus of supplying me with value for that price is on the hotel and frankly the hotel fell way short. If the aggregator website I used to find the room had filtered properly, I wouldn't have purchased your room in the first place, nor will I again in the future unless amenities are added. The bottom line is that I don't see the value in your hotel and customers won't buy things in which they see no value. At least, I won't.
