Best Western Batesville

We are originally from Batesville but moved west and came home to visit family. The hotel was comfortable and convenient.

The pool wasnt working . I called and asked if it was working before i made reservations thats why we came here so the grandkids could swim. We had to go buy things to do since we were stuck in a room . Black mold in the shower. The shower didnt drain we had to move to another room at 10 pm . Leaves and trash all over on parking lot. Blinds were ripped. Not happy at all. They said we cant help you because ypu made it through expedia. I had reservations somewhere else and cancelled because their pool wasnt working thats why we came here. Aggravated as can be

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is great with a nice dining area. Check-in was quick and efficient. Side door (closer to our room) card key scanner was broke. You could go out, but could not get back in, leaving you having to walk half way around the building to go through front entrance. Pretty quiet for the most part. However, if you happen to get a room next to a louder group or family, you may become frustrated with the noise seeping into your room. Overall a good experience, especially for the price.

We got there and immediately the clerk said the pool was dirty. We drove a long ways and the kids were set on a pool. We had to drive another 25 miles and pay 70 more dollars for another last minute hotel.

We visit family nearby at least once a year and stay at this hotel. Overall, cleanliness and state of repair has gone downhill from when it was the Hampton Inn. The staff is nice, though.

- In town for a family funeral -The staff the first night was so nice- The room was dirty - the shower did not drain - the room had gnats - not good - I even spent the extra for a suite - very disappointed

There was a family directly across the hall from us that had been living in the hotel for two months. From 10pm to midnight they decided to move box after box down the stairs, which was near our room and into their car which was just outside our window, talking loudly the whole time like no one else was there. I had called the front dest 3 times from 10:45 to midnight to complain. I guess after midnight the family got tired or the desk people managed to get them to stop. I lost over two hours sleep with the disruption. After explaining the ordeal to the manager the next morning, she comped our room.

Great place to stay,very clean,well kept,good breakfast, and the staff is friendly. We stay here several times a year as kids and grandkids live there.It costs a little more but well worth it!

The front desk ladies think all rooms are the same. They are not. In the annex, based on several rooms that I viewed while the cleaning staff was working, one side of the hallway has rooms that are approximately 70 square feet larger than the other side, so they are much easier to use a comfortable chair and view the tv or read with the floor lamp. My room was much smaller and the choice for watching tv or reading was one person can use the desk chair and the other will have to be on the bed. If that’s all you need, then the small room is fine. Ours had a newer glassed in shower and the furniture is newer. The pillows are small and flat. If however you want to relax for a longer period the smaller room is harder to be in. We stayed two nights and the first night we were awakened at 2:30 by laughter outside our door and then again at 4 am by what sounded like a child loudly asking “where are you going “. The following morning the ladies at the desk asked about my stay and after I told them of the noise both said “that’s the hotel business “ and one insisted that there’s nothing they can do about noise in the hall. I think the hotel can improve the situation by having better doors that block more noise (they are paper thin). Other hotels have posted signs regarding “quiet hours” and request people to respect them. I personally had huge problems with the two ladies at the desk. The cleaning staff, however, were polite, considerate and wanted to please.

Room 117 a/c kept freezing up so it was very warm and uncomfortable. It didn’t help that there is no bathroom fan so the steam made the room even hotter for our family of 4. Beds were comfortable.
