DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bloomington

The property was well decorated and very clean. The small gathering area and bar in the lobby was very nice as was the morning breakfast. Unfortunately, the room is extremely small and felt cramped. For our family of three it was a difficult stay because of the size of the room.

We stayed one night for the eclipse. Check in was super easy with 2 dogs and kids. Warm cookies were a bonus! Breakfast was perfect before we got on the road. Would definitely stay here again. 10/10

We stay at the double tree several times a year this visit not not happy I asked at checkin about breakfast was told it was included with out stay goes day before checking out and my kids was told they couldn’t eat it wasn’t included never had this happen

The place was nice but we could not utilize the hot tub as we wanted to because the pool area was so busy with kids running and screaming that we felt uncomfortable. We forgot two items in the room when we left and called about them and they never found them for us.

Stayed for a family wedding and loved that you allowed our well-behaved pupper AND we could charge our electric vehicle. We really enjoy the inclusion of a hearty breakfast and the delicious complimentary warm cookies and adult beverage. Also, you put us up in a nearby local suite which was wonderful upon arrival Thursday evening when our room experienced plumbing issues.

Good location, walking distance to CSV, Panera Bread etc. You can see the hotel is aging, carpet have seen better days. Room was ok, liked the bed, but room was very cold even tough set the air to 75dregrees, so not sure if it was really working. Bathroom is very small, only fit one person at time. Booked room for 4 people (2 adults and 2 kids), only had 4 towels in the bathroom. For the price you pay, I would expect more.

I had a suite with a kitchenette but there were no utensils, plates, etc so we had to walk down to the desk to get some items. We had to use bathroom hand towel/washcloth for the kitchen as well. None of which was a big deal but surprised me that it was not available. There were only 2 small trash/recycling bins so we had to request trash bags for the kitchen as well. We had 4 small kids so maybe we needed more than the average guest. Room was very spacious & immaculate. Bed was wonderful! Pool and patio areas were great.

The hotel, staff, room, and free breakfast were excellent!!! We have stayed here several times and the hotel never disappoints. The only complaint I would have is that the pool area floor, which is tile, is EXTREMELY slick!! Just walking across it when it is wet I have slipped and fallen. On this last stay, we had several kids slip and fall even though they were walking through around the pool. We even went so far as to put pool towels down around the pool to give the kids something to walk on. This is something I think needs to be addressed.

Quick, easy check in with somewhat limited but close to entrance parking. Very sensitive heat/air so tough to get just right. The safe didn’t work. Bedding was plentiful and comfortable. Only two towels in the room for our family. Biggest frustration - the toilet paper roll was almost empty and there were no additional rolls - another trip downstairs for that. The “Do Not Disturb” sign was torn off and on the floor inside the room. That was kind of odd. But the room, shower and bedding were clean. Staff was super nice and very responsive. Attached restaurant was ok. Again, super nice staff. Serving sizes were huge. Food was fine. Floor was quite messy.

For a Hilton family of hotels I was expecting a lot better than what we saw or got. On the plus side the hotel staff was very helpful but that’s pretty much it. The carpet in the hotel, room, and especially elevator looked dirty and dated, there was no milk to even buy at hotel other than the breakfast time which is a problem when you have kids, the layout of the hotel is confusing and it took me a while to find a microwave on the same floor (could have kept one by dining area on ground floor), only two towels were provided in the room when we had four total including two kids and room service was either busy or just not picking up when we called, bed covers were old and even had holes on the bottom of the covers. Would not stay here again
