Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino

My family used this hotel as a stop over between Minnesota and Kentucky. I was concerned it would be a tiny facility, but was surprised on arrival. The hotel is great with generous sized double queen rooms and friendly staff. We ate at the steak house in front of the casino for dinner and spent some time gambling on the boat. It's not as large of a casino as we are used to visiting, but had great slot options, tables, and everything was super clean in both the casino and hotel. The view and location on the river is beautiful and we may plan a return trip just so we can spend more time there in the future!

I know they want you gambling while you are there, but a pool for the kids would be a nice improvement

The staff and facilities were fine. My complaint is with the company's check in policies. We arrived at 2:30 pm and were told our rooms were ready, but if we wanted to check in it would be $25 a piece extra. We declined; we were there for fun and in no hurry. We came back at 4:15 and the lines to check in were out the door. Only two clerks working the desk on a Saturday couldn't keep up. If folks had been able to check in earlier, it would have been a little less congestedThen, all three or four of the luggage carts were being used and/or not returned. So we two senior citizen couples stood in a long line and then carried luggage, enough for our two day stay. We didn't struggle as much as the man carrying baggage for his family of five however. Also, because the clerks were so harried, we weren't made aware of the coffee available in the lobby. If you're going to charge ridiculous fees, then use that money for more staff and more carts.

The bed was very hard and not all that comfortable making it harder for my family to sleep. The pillows were equally hard which caused me to develop neck pain in the morning. Finally, there was cracking tile in the bathroom.
