Hilton Chicago/Oak Brook Hills Resort & Conference Center

Stayed with kids for 3 nights, it was great experience. 35 minutes from Chicago downtown and 5 minutes from York centre.

Great place to stay with family!

Our first stay (same suite type) was in 2019 as we hosted a small kid's bday party and things were fine. I can't speak to what has transpired at the property since then (well, COVID!). The room rate then was approx. $190.00(??) and approx. $378.00 for our 12/27/23 visit. The room rates are shared only for context, not as part of our dissatisfaction, per se'. Here was our experience: The location is awesome, the grounds are maintained and the property, as a whole, is charming. Unfortunately, we rated our room experience as a "2" out of 5. Room #401 is a 1BR 1 1/2 BA suite w/ a terrace overlooking the golf course. It's the closest room to the bank of elevators is not near the ice machine. There's a noise issue that will disturb any light sleeper (me!) and I overheard a mom shush her child to be quiet while in the common area. I *heard* her say SHUSH... You hear all noise emanating from the hallway. I'd forgotten about this from our previous stay. The Room ~ to our dismay, the DR table was removed. ~ We wanted to have a light dinner (carry out yummies) but there wasn't a microwave so we couldn't reheat (one is on the 1st flr.). We were told they're a fire hazard. The space wasn't as clean as anticipated either. I'm a Hilton Honors member and expect more from the brand. I've never experienced such poor conditions at a Hilton property. I typically don't complain, but I made a point to stay at a Hilton property after Christmas before traveling out of the country. DISSAPOINTED.

It was just a really nice hotel, everything about it. We are a sports travel family so there is usually something that is not that great. This hotel was perfect!

I arrived to the hotel at 1pm from the airport. They let me check in at that time so i had plenty of time to get ready for a big family event a few hours later. My room was spotless and they have a premium brand of skin care products for your use in the room.

A beautiful space with great amenities and easy access to the highways for visiting friends and family all over.

We had two rooms for our family. Views of the beautiful golf course. Guys played golf and enjoyed the course while girls shopped at Oak Brook Center. Great stay. Nice restaurant. Great amenities.

We choose this hotel b/c the outdoor pool area. It was beautiful, music, bar service, etc. Here’s the but now…the pool water was murky, over crowded, not enough chairs but the gross thing about the pool is tons of hair clumps floating around. It was thick heavy clumpy long masses of what looked like fake(wig)hair. Disgusting!! They have a very long hot tub that looked wonderful in pictures but in reality it was a shallow pool for a TON of children. They were swimming, splashing, jumping off the sides and stairs, floating on floats and pool noodles in the HOT TUB! There were no rules for the hot tub so anything went. That also was very murky water so I didn’t even go in there. Also children and adults were sitting on stairs for entry into pool. It made it very difficult and unsafe to get into the pool. So disappointing! We tried indoor pool. Not as many people but still not very clean. Again hair floating in water and on surface around pool. Just gross!! I was SO disappointed in this Hilton that I will never return. Our 2nd day we did not go to either pool at all. The only reason I paid more for this hotel compared to others in the same area was because we just wanted to sit at the pool for the 4th of July weekend. It could be a beautiful resort if the hotel would have rules and enforce them.

Even though the lobby looks very new, the room feels a little outdated. We ordered the executive suite, which happens to next the elevator, very loud. Bathroom is tiny, where I can’t find area to place my replaced cloth after showering or hanging the towel. No hose or bathtub in the shower, which adds lots of difficulty when need to give the toddler a shower.

Me and my family had over five room we where out out one of our rooms because we all went to visit other family . Staff was very rude and so was security. We was told we couldn’t visit our family in the same hotel. When we had suite room. Will never stay at this location again
