Limelight Hotel Ketchum

Great family ski location with activities available on site.

Limelight was an amazing hotel from the staff and amenities. We had a wonderful family ski trip. The staff were absolutely lovely, friendly and helpful with suggestions. We were able to use the Audi experience to take a day trip to Galena and snow shoe with some amazing views. The town was adorable with great dining for the whole family. We loved the hot tubs and pools and happy hour. We've stayed at the Limelight in Snowmass many times and Ketchum was just as delightful. Bald mountain was a short 5-minute shuttle ride from the hotel. The mountain views were beautiful but pretty challenging, steep runs - not for beginners.

This is a nice hotel, and it should be as it is also an expensive hotel. The hotel conditions are quite nice and the rooms are large and in very good condition. It's great they have in room Lavazza coffee makers. They provided the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had. However, I did not count on the $56.74 per night resort fee. That was an expensive breakfast after all. It might be worth it if you use their ski shuttles for the downhill slopes. I had a rental car and also paid the $20 overnight parking. It is underground so that part is nice. If you need a car the costs do add up. They do shuttle to the airport, but I was doing Nordic ski for which there is no shuttle service. I would also note that there was a lot of noise at this property. I had a room on the side of the hotel by the main road so I could hear cars. I also heard lots of kids running up and down the halls. My room had a connecting door and I could clearly hear the family staying in the room next to me. I had ear plugs so I did use them. I was staying on my own time zone so I went to bed a lot earlier and the noise was sometimes difficult. A good hotel overall, but given an already high room rate I would be tempted to look around for a home rental next time or a different place with fewer fees.
