The resort was absolutley immaculate, grounds were pristine and restaurant was delcious and affordable. Oue check in experience was not so good, the gentleman checking us in was quite condescending, speaking down to me and making me feel like I was a nusance. It was the end of his shift so perhaps I got the brunt of his day. That was not a very good start to our babymoon. The resort has many great offerings.
The king bed was two twins put together and they were seprateing at the middle with one side having a big dip in it.

This property is a gem! It's not a huge hotel with 20 floors. It's the perfect size that allows all guest to be near the beach and have a view of the water. We booked 3 rooms for a family of 7, each with their own kitchen. This was extremely convenient as it allowed us to spend our money on more exciting stuff other than meals. We also took full advantage of their onsite BBQ's.
My Dad's mobility is recently very limited and he was able to navigate the property on his motorized wheelchair with ease. The staff upgraded his and my Step-Mom's room so he could have a walk in ADA compliant bathroom. This made a huge difference for them.
My 9 year old nephew took full advantage of the beach, pool and hot tub.
My husband and I enjoyed quiet moments on our Lanai reading or having breakfast.
This trip was extremely special and Napili Kai was the perfect place to stay.
We will be back someday!

Our stay at Napili Kai was amazing. The location was stunning. Great for kids. Great access to the bay for snorkeling and lounging around. The kids enjoyed the pool and the children’s program as well.

The epitome of laid back Maui charm with a fabulous beach, good snorkeling. Lovely ocean trail, great for whale watching and turtles in some coves when ocean calm. My smaller grandchildren loved the pool with adjacent snack bar. Grounds immaculate! No resort fee nor parking fee. Staff gracious and made us feel so welcome. Mahalo❣️❣️

Overall, our family of 2 adults and 2 preteens very much enjoyed our 5 day stay at Napili Kai. This is a GREAT beach, and while several resorts share it, we never felt it was crowded. Great sand, beautiful views, with some fun snorkeling to the north end. You can see whales spouting in the distance during the season. The resort grounds were well kept and good looking. The Kapalua walking trail nearly abuts the resort and makes for a fun easy hike. Our keaka studio room was very nice, with full kitchenette and private ocean view balcony. While parking was pretty compact, it was included, and we loved that they don’t nickel and dime you with parking and resort fees.
Our only complaints were that the amenities are somewhat misrepresented. It says there are 4 pools and two hot tubs—one for adults only. Ok. But some pools are off limits if you’re not staying in certain rooms, and the only pool and hot tub our kids were allowed in closed down at sunset—6pm! That’s about when we roll back into the resort after a full day of activities and want to swim. The snack shop and towel service also close at 4 and 5. Shuffleboard? Too bad—it closes at 5 with the snack shop. We didn’t eat at the Sea House restaurant on site because it was pricey, even for Maui. Overall, beautiful location and a quiet neighborhood. This isn’t the place to stay if you want to walk to lots of shops and restaurants, but it was great if you plan to drive and explore the west side of the island.

The hotel is fine and the staff is great. Our toilet was unseated from the floor, which we forgot to inform the staff about.
This is a resort is for families. Honestly it feel very much like a homogeneous enclave that I as a POC didn’t feel comfortable in. This was purely a clientele matter and not the staff. The staff was wonderful. The other customers not so much.
I recommend this resort for families with small kids, but not to couples because raucous children do ruin the romantic atmosphere.
